Hmmmm, I actually like the idea of "clearing out the clutter". I really want to redo the entire thread anyway, so maybe I will do that. It will probably be easier anyway. So, everyone expect a new thread to be appearing soon! Just let me brainstorm and organize everything first.

I think only the members that made a form then never commented would get deleted.
Sorry for not posting in a while, guys. I've been watching the thread for a while but I've never had the urge to say something, probably because I'm a spam-o-phobic (well, sort of. I can spam if I'm talking to my RL friends on here. I can spam like that forever... So I'll just control the spam I might do)
Isn't it funny how those sentences were spam? [/endspam]

So. I'd love someone to read my prologue and first few chapters of the book I'm writing. I don't have writer's block, but I just haven't had a good sentence to move on the story. I think I'm stuck in some mud, though. There's been a lot of empty dialogue and boring paragraphs.

No, I won't be deleting anyone. I will probably create a new form that everyone must fill out, but on there will be the "Were you a member on the old forum?" option. If they answer is "yes", then you are automatically accepted.

~Celestia~ wrote:Write from the zombie's point of view! It may be a little weird to start off with as first, but it's really interesting once you get into it. Give the zombies 'names', just so people can identify with them and know which one you're referring to- It doesn't mean that the zombies name each other, it's just so people know what you're taking about. I.E: Moon-claw was me elder banshee's name, since his claws curled in the shape of crescent moons after old age. Tequila-riser was a little too friendly and became pregnant and was torn apart in childbirth (as I mentioned), and Broken-hand literally had a broken hand. XD

After watching I Am Legend ten thousand times, I've realized that it is possible to create realistic fantasy along the lines of zombies, etc. But for my sanity, don't have the banshees as green things that walk around like they're sleep walking, and moan. As I said, mix it up a bit. Maybe the zombies are almost human. Maybe they can speak. Maybe after a while of being in a transitional stage they just snap and go crazy. Do people keep their changing relatives in their homes, living on false hope? How many people change? How many people die in the initial blast? Is this taking place in just America? Does the blast wipe out America then cause radiation to the rest of the world? I don't know. Use your imagination, and watching zombie related movies will surely help. Priest and I Am Legend is what I'd recommend. The first is a little more gory, but not overly so.

"ps.": I'm actually kinda excited for some reason. New ideas always do that to me. x3

Hmm I hadn't actually considered having zombies... i know i mentioned zombies but I hadn't really thought about it? I kinda like that idea X3 i'm definitely taking some of your ideas into consideration! especially the transitional stage part, I like that a lot :P. That being said, however, this story has sorta taken a turn into the... weird and awesome and, inevitably i suppose, the cliche  . Essentually the people who haven't died from radiation poisoning have mutated into either awesome super-human things (With serious flaws however, can't have them sueish :D) or into pathetic things with extra limbs ¬.¬ ... at least in my mind.. haha, I need to think before i write, cause i can see the cliche-ness enveloping and eating my story D:<

My old books from when I was 9-12 were complete cliché's. XD It happens!

Glad my ideas aren't stoopid!:D

My apologies for my absence from this thread, but I have been keeping an eye out for any useful tips that I could use. I should have mentioned beforehand in my form that I have severe difficulties socializing with others to explain my common absence.

---

On the topic of writing, I have an excellent idea about an angel falling to Earth after being doubtful of their being an almighty being that controls everyone (And he is also convinced that the head angel, the one who gives orders, is being big-headed and commands everyone). Evangelos, the main character, has to adapt back to the life of a human after seven hundred years of being deceased. During his stay on Earth, he realizes that there is this war between other beings like him that he must get involved with... I haven't quite figured out the rest of the plot yet, but it's going to be a rather simple plot in my opinion.

... As of right now, I am staring blankly at the word document that shall hold the story planning, distracted by a self-decided Doctor Who marathon that my mother and I are having. Nonetheless, I have other things that need to be finished sometime soon.

I just realized that Evangelos will have to deal with a war and adapt to the 21st century lifestyle... He's going to have quite a fun time trying to figure out how everything works.

That sounds hilarious! I can just see him trying to use an iPhone or a car (road rage!)...
And also, high five. I like Doctor Who too. ^^

Hehe i think the odd bit of spam wouldn't do anyone any harm... as long as there was some writing - esk thing associated with the rest of the post? :3 [/spam]

And Me! Me! Me! Pick Me! I wanna read!! :3 i <3 reading other peoples work! it usually inspires me :3 I'll give critique as well if you want ^_^ Feel free to PM it to me, or (if it's easier) i'll PM my email to you or something :)

Thats quite alright - I have a feeling there are quite a few people who just browse this thread without ever really participating :) I understand the anti-social aspect (Trust me i do ¬.¬) I hope you've found some useful tips :D!

Woot! Alright i'll keep that in mind. Though the Apocalypto genre is not my forte.. in fact, i really really hate end of the world movies XD they scare me! But when i have a story idea, they usually wont leave 'till i've written them... So this might affect my writing slightly... just warning :P

I use too many smilies in my post. ¬.¬ [/morespam]

Anyone want to critique mine?
It's still in its rough stage - first draft - and I think some critique would be helpful.
;}
Just PM me, whoever, and I'll send you part of the first chapter.
