Ughh....Why? Why does it ALWAYS have to be like this? Waking up later then everybody else....Then again, Adam Wright wasn't designed to be a morning person. He was a child of the night, hence why he was never in bed when he was asked. He opened his eyes, adjusting to the faint strips of light escaping from the black out curtains surrounding the windows in the small cabin of Nyx. As they adjusted, he could make out the midnight blue sky, the ceiling enchanted as to look like it was the night time. He watched as fake whisps of cloud drifted over the crescent moon that hung on the ceiling. He grumbled as he shifted in his covers, his muscles and bones cracking. Shaking his head he shoved the covers away, kicking them off with his feet and swinging his legs over the edge of his top bunk. Swaying a few moments before he gathered his sleepy mind and slid down onto the floor, landing on the floor with a soft thud.
"Adam" a quiet female voice called out. He turned around to glare at the girl behind him, on the bottom bunk no less. She stared back, through the curtain of blond and blue bangs. She was already dressed, sitting on the edge of her bed. Staring at the shirtless boy infront of her. "You, are up late." Stating the obvious! "Thank you Britt, Like I don't already know that!....Hey if your up so early, why didn't you leave?" The girl adressed as Britt froze and shrugged her shoulders, fiddling with her fingers, pulling the shadows up from under the bed, forming them into shapes and watches them dance across the rift between the two of them. "I don't like people? AND! If I left your lazy bum in here, You'da never woken up!" Adam''s grinn twisted into a grimace and rolled his eyes at his child hood friend. "Comon, let's go." She grinned and stood up, sporting a fresh pair of jeans, boots, and flannel t-shirt.
Adam scrambled to find the t-shirt he threw, as it was he was bare chested. Last night was just too hot for clothes, but of course, he couldn't find his tank top, so he figured, he was close enough to the bathrooms. He opened the door a crack, the hinges creaked and floorboards groaned under his weight. He shook his head and took off at a sprint, hoping not to get knowticed, and in trouble. Britt slipped past him, outside and watched, contemplating if she wanted to yell "RUN FORREST RUN!" But didnt want to embarrass the boy any further. Stepping out onto the light she took a deep breath, shoved her hands in her pockets and moved on, out into the open.
