Adderwhisker trotted out of the den and walked casually next to Leafdapple. "Such a pretty day today," He murmured. "Look! If you look as that bush, the leaves look like a mouse," He purred. Briarstep hung back at the edge of the patrol, holding his head low and not daring to look up too high.

Fawnstream looked at Sparrowthorn and nodded silently. She shared glances with the alarmed look of Holly and the almost enraged Timber. She padded over towards her patrol, her eyes gleamed with mock determination.

Timber looked at Jaystar and mewed " We are sorry for coming here without any cat knowing. It's just we came a long way of constant traveling and almost making it out without our pelts turned into nesting material." Holly knew that timber was fighting with his anger, " We have no place to go, we are sorry for bothering you. We'll leave instantly. Come on timber." mewed the black kit turning to leave.

Ashen who was biting back his roaring rage that was boiling in him, he was shocked to hear such calmness from a kit. " Wait Jaystar, the only thing they did was to enter the territory and found there way into the camp. I know its mouse-brained, but there offering there lives to follow the lives of the clan." he found himself defending the cats. Timber glared up at the former rouge,and Holly nodded curtly.

"We are NOT a come-all Clan, and we don't approve of non-clan cats flooding our clan." Sparrowthorn spat. "The only thing they did, as you say, was to tresspass on our territory and break into our home. If you're so fond of them, why don't you just go with them?"

" How can you just say that Sparrowthorn?" snarled Ashen glaring at the tom. " I dont know why you are so enraged about them, they only came because of two things. Sick and hungry. Every clan they came across turned them down, and sent them away. You dont even know what it's like to be a rouge do you? I can image you trying to hunt while getting attacked by other rival clans." mewed the enraged tom digging his claws deep into the ground.

Timber fought with himself from hissing with rage, Holly who was more calmer then her brother. " This is my question to you why do you hate loners and rouges?" growled Timber, Holly backed up the question " We havent done anything wrong."

"I have nothing against helping a cat." Sparrowthorn replied irritably. "In fact, I am completely for helping out a sick kit. It's when our clan becomes mixed with non-clan blood that I have a problem."

" I see." mewed Ashen and timber at the same time. Holly rolled her eyes in annoyance, and muttered " Mouse-dung." " we can prove ourselves has loyal clancats, you'll will never forget it." mewed Timber glaring at Holly. The she-cat mewed calmly " Has he said, you'll hardly know we were both born has loners."

Jaystar flicked his tail in annoyance at his deputy and the loners. "Let's not argue. We'll deal with this fairly. Timber and Holly, you are welcome to the Clan, but you should have scented our border markers and waited for a patrol. We can take you in as long as you do your part in hunting and protecting the Clan. I don't know how all of you are going to prove your loyalty, but somehow you have to." His blue eyes were icy but his voice was gentle although firm. He turned to the rest of his Clan. "From now on, any loners on the territory will be questioned. If they look half-dead, bring them to camp. If they look well-fed and are aggressive, then you may drive them off. Am I clear?" He turned back to Timber and Holly. "I think Holly is old enough to be apprenticed. You have half a moon to decide whether to stay or not. If you become Clan cats, we can talk about her ceremony. For now, make yourselves comfortable in any of the spare dens. I'm sorry, but I'll have to post a cat by your den in case somecats start complaining."

Leafdapple purred in amusement at Adderwhisker's random but cheerful comment. "Yes, it does kind of look like a mouse. Maybe we should do some hunting after we've checked the border." She looked at Briarstep. "Come on, let's hurry up a little," she mewed encouragingly.

Ashen didn't bother to argue with Jaystar. He nodded in agreement. " I think that Holly would be able to be come an apprentice?" mewed Timber in swift movement. the she-cat looked alarmed but held her reply inside, she was about to screech at Timber. That's what you get for getting me in this mess. thought the tom in amusement Shut it I'll get you for this just you wait. . thought Holly in anger. Ashen had to stifle his purr, he knew exactly what was going on between the hostile glares between the two loners. " I'm at the apprentice age has well." mewed Timber. Holly's eyes gleamed in revenge, behind the calm hue.

Jaystar nodded slightly. "Yes, you are both apprentice age. However I cannot make you apprentices unless you decide to stay and have earned the Clan's trust. Prove your loyalty and I will apprentice you. Same goes for you, Ashen - when you have proved yourself worthy I might be able to give you an apprentice." He shook his silver spotted pelt. "Also, when you have earned your place in the Clan, I give you your warrior names."

Ashen, timber, and holly both nodded curtly, and mewed " Thank you." Timber and Holly were trembling with excitement, Ashen was the only one who had common sense still flowing in his pelt. Timber could only looked at holly and muttered excited " Image me a apprentice swatting your ears all over the place." " If i don't have anything to say against it." growled Holly in defensive. " you may be my brother, doesnt give me to make you flush foolishly when you are mooning over a she-cat." she threaten lashing her tail, and bristled. " Why you little-" growled Timber launching himself onto holly. The two cats rolled about squeaking and hissing threats at one another. Ashen had to stifle his purrs, watching them.
