Star glanced at her, her curious expression only deepening. "Nah," she jerked a thumb towards the setting sun. "I can probably figure it out myself now that night has come," she said, winking. A faint golden glow had already surrounded her in the dimming light.

"Very well." Dusk chuckled softly. "Most peoples' eye sight gets worse at night." She mused, her ice blue eyes getting slightly brighter though her crystal was like a flashlight.

[flamethewolf]

"Now!" Flame growled launching herself at the Master emerald. Swinging her scythe, shards of the emerald launched through the air. One caught her in the shoulder and tore through her skin. She stood for a moment and looked at the pices shattered on the floor. Turning, she dashed off, her shoulder wound leaving a drop of blood every two yards or so.

Star smiled, tipping her head slightly. "Most," she said, her eyes glimmering as they turned golden, she turned her head up to the sky, were the first stars were appearing, her eyes obviously trying to seek out something.

Dusk shivered slightly, rubbing her left arm with her right hand. Her eyes glanced around, warily following the dancing shadows. The crystal from her necklace began pulsing dimly as dusk fell.

"Cold?" Star teased, her personality seeming to have changed. "Or just nervous?" her head was still tipped to the sky.

"Both." Dusk smiled to herself, watching the last rays of light vanish from the sky. "Not much of a night owl, but I'll manage." She glanced over at Star. "See anything?"

Star frowned, looking slightly confused. "Kind of. Whatever it is, it's man made, and not showing up very well," she snorted in disgust, her own glow brightening slightly, warming the air. "Something's up there, though."

[blade the hedgehog]

Blade found a computer and he switched it on. A large overhead screen activated a a recording started to play. A time index code in the corner reading back to over 50 years ago. The camra was focused on a few scientists standing around the broken tube, though it wasn't broken at the time the video was taken. A black mass was inside the tube and the scientists were taking notes.
