Emerald just watched, keeping Diablo calm and still, as everything happened. She looked around town and scowled. Everybody was starting to wake up. She hated crowds but she still hadn't gotten anything for breakfast yet. Looks like she'd just have to go to the store and settle for some beef jerky and oatmeal again. She sighed and led Diablo over to the small town store. She tied up Diablo, gave the black Arab a pat, and walked inside.

((Hmmm Wildmagic do you think Lucky Jack needs more people helping him? There seems to be a lot of bad guys.
I've got another character in mind if needed))

Alex's gaze made contact with another's girl's green eyes for a heartbeat, and though her expression was friendly, he quickly looked away. A surge of awkwardness and anxiety hit him like a truck-
Alex winced silently as another man accidentally ran into him, bumping his freshly bruised and cut cheek. He looked up in alarm, his feet had already skittered backwards a few steps. He leaned against Shawnee as if she were somehow protecting him.
"Yessum." he said, barely audible, his voice flat. He could hear the blood roaring in his ears.
This was a stupid idea, Coyote. You cotton-headed idiot!
But the man's attention was turned to the injured lady. They walked away. Alex let out a huge breath he didn't know he'd been holding. Thank you, Lord.
With adrenaline still making his heart race, he led his mule to the town store, walking more hurriedly than before. He left her at the hitching post, wiped some dirt and blood off his face with his sleeve, and stepped into the store.
The green eyed woman was in there, her dark hair falling over her shoulders in a kind of beautiful way. But Alex pushed all thoughts besides breakfast out of his mind. He quickly located the eggs, scooped up three, and a slab of bacon. Alex didn't even consider stealing it. The shopkeeper, with his gray hair and steely blue eyes, had been watching him like a hawk since the second he passed over the threshold. In fact, the intensity of the old man's stare was making him even more jumpy. Please don't recognize me, ya old coot. Jest want to get breakfast dangit. Don't recognize me. Alex willed silently, keeping his face carefully calm.

((I'm so totally in a western mood xD

Emerald looked over her shoulder when she heard the door open. Her eyes met his strange yellow ones and for a moment she couldn't look away. She soon recovered though and nodded to Alex, giving a small smile, before saying "Howdy." and turning back to the beef jerky. She picked up a few sticks of it and then searched around for the oatmeal. She needed a small bag of that to get her through the next few days. She hoped she would soon be coming upon some place that wasn't as dry, but with her luck that would not be happening. With her mind clouded with thoughts about finding some water she picked up the small oatmeal sac and walked up to the register, her footsteps a little loud on the wooden floor, though the jingle of spurs was not to be heard from her. She never wore spurs. Diablo didn't need them and she thought they were quite rude to the poor horses. Though people was another matter, she didn't mind using spurs on people.

[That's a cool piece; the orchestra at my school is doing something like it, but not exactly.]
[As for Lucky Jack; yeah, if you could make somebody to help him, that would be great.]

Jack Aubrey woke as the sun broke over the horizon onto his face and was out of his bedroll faster than a rabbit with a snake on his tail. He had overslept- how was that even possible? His horse watched with amusement as he packed up his things and shook his boots vigorously to make sure that nothing had crawled inside during the night. Satisfied that they were empty, he shoved them onto his feet and plunked his saddle onto the mare's back. "I don't know why you tolerate me," he said to her with a crooked smile, patting her muzzle before mounting up. She tossed her head with a whinny that sounded like a laugh and broke into a fast trot as he dug his heels into her sides. Jack clucked his tongue and snapped the reins, urging her to go faster. She obliged, speeding up until a dust cloud spread out behind them. They traveled for an hour, maybe too, when a town finally appeared on the horizon. Jack spurred his horse into a full-on sprint and crossed the remaining miles in a matter of minutes. He reined in his mare and dismounted on the edge of town, leading her through on foot. He tied the mare to a post outside the sheriff's offices (which doubled as the jail, it seemed) and pumped the handle on the trough for a few moments until water began to pour out. He continued until it was high enough for his horse to drink, and then he stopped. Opening his satchel, he pulled out Black Billy's wanted poster and stalked into the office.

starry-knight wrote:Thomas began riding towards the outskirts of town, his house could be seen out in the distance, surrounded by dust and the rolling fields of green. The stallion trotted up the path, kicking up dirt on the path. He stopped at his front porch and slid off, tying the reigns to the porch posts. He walked inside and began shifting through his cabnet looking for the medical supplies. A few minutes later he returned with a small box, which contained stitches, different sized needles, cloth and gauze.

Viletta smiled in relief as she slid off of her horse and grabbed the towel again. Patiently she sat on the porch and dabbed at her cut. She brought out the money from her pocket and counted.

Aaron glanced at Viletta, who was then beginning to count her money. Apparently she had not heard him the first time, but the sign of money shook him out of his drunk haze for good. He climbed off ((I'm renaming his horse)) Surrender, and, anonymously as he could, tied him to a post, head down. He didn't want to be seen attempting to steal from his own comrades. The Arsonists glanced at her for a second, then went down to sit next to her. He prayed he wouldn't be recognized by anyone else-Just Viletta was fine, but any other townsman might recognize him from a wanted poster. After all, even if he failed trying to get some money out of her, they were Black Billy's-She couldn't really hurt him..Could she..? He waved off the though, hungering for the coins she had. Quietly, he waited till her back was turned, though he knew he would probably fail.

[[technically she's not part of black billy's gang yet until billy meets her]]

viletta tucked her money into her shirt and looked over at the newcomer. ''could you do me a favor sugar, and put pressure on my back with this here towel?''she asked, holding out the towel stained with blood.

[Vane. This roleplay is literate; I expect a full paragraph with every post.]

William O'Hara woke up when the sun started to glare down at him through the canyon, and was out of his bedroll faster than a snake on the run. Quickly he tied it up and set it in the shade, then reached for his shirt and yanked it on. He slept in his clothes, of course, but summer nights were hot and it was better to sleep without a shirt on. After all of the buttons were done up in the correct holes, he jammed his hat onto his head and fastened his gunbelt about his waist. "Bullet," barked the bandit's leader stepping into his boots, "Saddle up. We're goin' on a recruitin' run. Tommie, stay here, guard the hostage, and for God's sake don't let 'er get away. It'll be your head if she does, ya hear me?" The marksman nodded solemnly, which was good enough for William. He nodded back, then picked up his saddle and walked to where his horse was standing in the shade. She was a tall, strong mare, of the breed horse people like to call a "gray". In reality she was more brown than silver, although a dappled pattern the color of a thundercloud sky had recently been spreading across her fur. Right now her name was, appropriately, Thunder, but it changed on a weekly basis because she was stolen. He plunked the saddle gently onto her back and fastened the straps around her middle, slapping her gently on the flank when he saw that she was holding in air. "Stop it," he said, reproachfully, and Thunder let out the breath. He tightened the strap. Then he clipped his reins to her harness and put the bit in her mouth, patting her neck when he was done. Thunder was a good old girl, but there it was. She had been an adult when he stole her, and that had been quite a while ago. She was getting on in years, and it wouldn't be long until he had to find a new horse. It was a pity, really; Thunder had been with him for some of his greatest heists, including three or four train jobs.

[[Oh. xD]]

"Disgusting! Ya loon! What makes ya think I'll hold that thing?!" Aaron blurted out, jumping back from the blood stained towel. He pointed at it, obviously enraged. "Ma'am, find someone else to that!" His temper made Surrender neigh with discomfort, and he hastily went over to his albino horse, rubbing it's forehead softly in an attempt to calm it down. Though his movements were still stiff and hasty as usual. Forget about taking Viletta's money-Aaron could not touch it. He pulled himself up his horse, kicking his spurs into his side. The albino snorted, and raced forward, accustomed to Aaron's spoiled harshness. His face was still expression less as he left, but his movements were enraged, limited to just clenching fists.

Gingerly, he reached his left hand into his belt and pulled a match, and on the inside he was smiling, suddenly satisfied. He lit himself a cigarette, one hand on the rein. The light, having done it work with the cigarette had one last task-Expertly he flung the tiny flaming light onto the saloon, the very place he had gotten drunk. There, he felt better now. Aaron regretted the fact of not leaving some tar there, but he grinned, a rare sight, as he heard someone scream, "Fire!" and soon enough chaos broke loose.

By the time the flames had engulfed the building, Aaron had already set off, a cloud of black, ashen smoke rising up to the sky behind him. Unknowingly he had set off toward Black Billy, and didn't care if people knew he was behind it the moment they saw the first spark of a flame-He could get away, that was all.
