"Maybe they went off deeper into the forest..." Kappa ventured. "Or got eaten by owls... Well, we'll only find out if we start looking!"

Ash squeaked in agreement.

Kappa flapped through the misty forest. The short trees that sprouted from the ground were sleek and unnatural, and the oxygen that she inhaled was dusty and artificial. This place is so different from outside... Her dark wings shivered in the dim sunshine.

Ash flew after her, she tensed hearing strange sounds.

"Have you seen the others lately?" Kappa asked Ash. "They all just... disappeared."

Ash shook her head, she had wondered the same thing.

"Whatever," Kappa replied in her tough, tomboyish attitude. "Who needs them? We'll check this place out ourselves!" She skimmed over the treetops and spotted a flittering moth. Abandoning Ash's side, the golden Brightwing dove towards the bug and scooped it up in her jaws. "The food isn't too bad," she squeaked between munches. "And it's safe. We can stay here awhile."

Ash raises an eyebrow, she stretches her wings. Her ears flick, she flies to a tree branch and lands.

"It will get lonely here," Kappa sighed as Ash caught up to her. "Maybe we should leave... ugh, I can't decide! I feel so bipolar right now!"
