Siberia's eyes widened in surprise, then she muttured something under her breath. "Show us where you got them," she told Sam, her eyes serious.

Sam nodded, serious. "Over this way," he whispered, his face gaunt. He led them out of camp, sitting in front of a bush of poison berries.

"Oh. It was how I was raised. being a loner makes me below a hunter." Waya explained but walked over. "Thank you." he said and tore off a piece.

Ollie smiled. "I don't think of myself as higher than others." She says.

Waya swallowed. "Every pack has some sort of ranking system."

Hawthorne picked a berry up and said, "Look Sam, squash this berry with your paw, if their are two seeds it is poisonous, if there are three it is just a mock poison berry that will make Quinn very sick for a day or so, If there are no seeds, I fear there is nothing we can do for her." He dropped it in front of Sam.

Sam's eyes widened, whimpering slightly. He squished the berry gently with his paw,squinting. "Three," he breathed in relief.
