A Warrior Cat Clan Story

In a far away valley, there lives a clan. Spiritclan is the only clan left in the valley. There was once several clans, but Spiritheart showed them the only way to live, was to unite. The beloved she-cat said "United we stand, divided we fall. It's your choice to make." Those words won over the defiant clans, and even won her the position of leader. But now, some cats think that Spiritstar was only trying to make a temporary change. They say that now it's much easier to survive. As their current leader, Proudstar, is starting to squirm. The elders and medicine cat alwayssya the same things. "It's been seasons since Spiritstar ruled. 11 words can't hold a bond between cats, whose differences are wider than the canyons, can't hold this clan's bond forever." Proudstar can't believe what he's hearing, but he's starting to realize that it's true. Spiritclan was driving apart.

Chapter 1

Proudstar watched his clan start to wake up as he sat ontop of the tallstone. His eyes fell on the Nursery. Pantherblaze, Robinwing, and Robinwing's kits were all up. Probably the work of Icekit. Icekit was the only white kit out of her litter. Her littermates were both gold. The white she-cat was always up at the first light of sunrise, just like the queen Pantherblaze.
He felt his fur rising at the thought of Pantherblaze. Her mate was Hawkshadow, a rouge. He couldn't completely blame her, they two cats had trained together, but Hawkshadow abandoned the clan soon after they became warriors. He watched as Lionheart padded over, dropping a couple mice. Lionheart was Pantherblaze's brother. He had been taking care of her, since Hawkshadow couldn't. Since no one else seems to be doing the same for Robinwing, he always got her fresh-kill too.
Soon Seasong, the deputy, was a wake and orginizing patrols. "Flowertail, you take Yarrowpaw, Forstwillow, and Treetail to patrol the meadow and the forest. Mountaincliff, you take Stonepaw, Sleetfrost, and Moonshine to patrol the canyon. Duskclaw, you tke Swiftstone, Leopardpaw, and Stormfeather to patrol the moor and swamp. I'll take Hakou, Riverpaw, Fishpaw, and Smokeshade to patrol the Oceanside and River."
With some many cats, and a lot of territory, Spiritstar had to think of a way to patrol the borders and still get food. She decided that at sunrise and sunset, 4 patrols would head out at once. She split the territory into 8 areas using the old clan borders. All of the patrols, except for 1, would patrol 2 areas. 1 area was only patroled every so often. The patrols could grab fresh-kill for themselves before they left, then hunt a little while they're patroling. Soon they would have a large fresh-kill pile, and between sunrise and sunset, some warriors would still go out to hunt while the apprentices were trained.
"Hey Proudstar!" He looked down to see Longfur and Thickpelt looking up at him. Proudstar jumped down to the ledge bellow him before he leaped to the ground. "What's up?" he asked. "Me and Longfur thought we should have a little look at Snowrocks." Thickpelt meowed.
Snowrocks was one of the 8 areas. They were snow covered moutains, the past habitat for Snowclan. The cats of Snowclan had adapted to having longer fur. Very few cats that originated from the other clans did. Sometimes it surprised Proudstar how you could still easyily tell which cats originated from where. It was clear that these two were Snowclan ancestors.
"These's now need to." Proudstar meowed. "We thought Hailpaw and Snowpaw should get some exercise before the start training today." Longfur replied. Proudstar nodded. "Alright, but just because it's Hailpaw and Snowpaw." Hailpaw and Snowpaw were kits from Robinwing's first litter. Their father, Rapidheart, was half Moorclan and Half Canyonclan. Both the kits had inherited is endurance and hard pads. Even though they didn't have the longest fur, the would be readt for anything.
"Thanks Proudstar." Thickpelt meowed before the two cats padded off to get Hailpaw and Snowpaw. It was clear the two apprentices had been listening for when Thickpelt and Longfur padded over, the two apprentices instantly sprang up and ran towards the camp entrance. Thickpelt and Longfur exchanged a glance before chasing after the apprentices.
Proudstar noticed that Sweetgrass, the medicine cat, was watching him. He saw something was clearly troubling her. He padded over. "Something wrong?' he asked. "Sleet at Snowrocks." she murmured. "What? It's sleeting and snowrocks?" Proudstar asked. "I don't know. That's part of a prohphecy I got." Sweetgrass replied. She turned and padded into her den. She looked back and he realized he was supposs to follow.
When they were out of earshot of other cats, Sweetgrass repeated the prophecy. "Sleet at Snowrocks, Flowers at Tallgrass, Dusk at Shadowswamp, Moutains at Redrocks, Water at Riverlake, A sea at the ocean, Swift in the moorland, Fierce for all, then the Proud will take what remains."
The two talked about possible meanings for ages, but couldn't come to an anwser. Proudstar had to leave when the patrols started arriving. He was padding out, then heard cats snarling at each other. He ran out to see Rapidheart and Thickpelt growling.
"I told you once, and I'm telling you again, you will NEVER take Hailpaw and Snowpaw there every again!" Rapidheart snarled. "I don't care what you want! If they want to go to Snowrocks, I'm going to bring them to Snowrocks." Thickpelt growled back. "They're my kits, and one of them is my apprentice, so I have every right to tell you that Snowpaw and Hailpaw will never see Snowrocks again!" Rapidheart snarled, starting to loose his temper. Soon Robinwing was up in the fight.
"You can't control their lives Rapidheart! Longfur and Thickpelt at their friends! They told me they loved going to Snowrocks! You can't stop them." Robinwing snarled, standing beside Thickpelt. Proudstar had been yowling for them to stop, yet he couldn't do anything. He jad made a policy that he would not force them apart until they were fighting with claws. Sadly, he had to put this policy into affect more often then he wanted to.
"Robinwing! Why are you on his side! You my mate and their mom! Your supposed to be on my side!" Rapidheart yowled, starting to get desperate. "You coud control what they did and where they went with who when they were kits. They're apprentices now. They now have the right to decide for themselves. You need to let go." Robinwing growled. "But-" "You're fighting against you kits on this one!" Robinwing yowled.
"No I'm not." Rapidheart growled back. Hailpaw and Snowpaw then stepped up, standing on the other side of Thickpelt. Rapidheart looked at them, shocked and hurt. "Listen, to me, they are not ever goign to see Snowrocks again." he growled definatly, staring straight at Robinwing. It was clear he had gone over the line. Robinwing lunged at him. Rapidheart was pinned down, and couldn't get her off.
Proudstar ran over and tried to pull off Robinwing. Still snarling and hissing at Rapidheart, she got off, whirled around, and stalked off to the nursery, where Pantherblaze, Goldkit, Sunkit, anf Icekit were waiting. She layed down and her kits scampered over. Thickpelt turned and followed her, sitting down beside her. Rapidheart stumbled to his paws, and saw Hailpaw and Snowpaw were still there. Snowpaw quickly left, bounding over to her mother, her siblings, and Thickpelt were. Hailpaw stood their, staring at him. "Hail-" he began. His daugher looked away, then left, following Snowpaw.
Proudstar had forgotten all about the prophecy. The arguments had gotten so bad and the tempers had gotten so short, that now a family was being torn apart. Robinwing had seemed disdant from Rapidheart ever since she had Goldkit, Sunkit, and Icekit, but now she was fighting against him. What's happening? Proudstar wondered desperately.

Chapter 2

It had been a few days since the fight with Robinwing and Rapidheart, and things were still tense between the two. But it was getting worse around camp. Most of the cats had stopped listening to Seasong. They went on their own patrols, and trained their apprentices when they wanted to. Seasong was clearly starting to loose her temper now that this started. Some warriors didn't even train there own apprentices. They trained the ones they wanted to. Rapidheart wasn't doing so, in hopes he could make things right with his kits, but it never worked. They always made sure to get out with Thickpelt or Longfur before he came.
