"Woot, we're home." Lionel sprawled out on the floor and smiled like a moron as all the weight sprang out of his blistered feet. "Too. much. ruddy. walking."
"Get up, you lazy arse." Kiere mimed kicking him senseless. Lionel cringed, sure Kiere was gonna hit him, but let out a sigh of humoured relief when Kiere's foot stopped right before his face.
"Had you there, didn't I?" Kiere grinned. but then he turned to Dominic. "Hey dude, long time no see! What's up?"
"Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm gonna find somewhere to sleep, unless we have other plans." Lionel sat up and hugged his knees, waiting to see if a negative reaction sprang up as a result.

She smiled and nodded, "Thanks Dominic; it just a little deep, nothing serious." She pulled of her long coat and placed it beside the tents that they were staying in. She showed him the deep scratches that scored her arm. Her stormy-white hair was layered with a bit of soot along with the beginnings of her coat. She looked at Niko and nodded, "I'll cook the meat with a fire and fry it a bit to burn all the bacteria. It should still be in the black bag." Re nodded to the black that laid beside a pan and a few other stuff.

Dominic smiled at Kiere,
"Nothing much. Hangin out. Sorry I missed out on all the action," he said. He looked at the scratches on Re's arm. Nothing too serious, thankfully. He started to wrap her arm up and them remembered that he had to spray this cut with disinfectant. It was worthless on him because his blood usually ate away at any bacteria or unwelcome contaminants anyway, including the spray. He held up a finger, telling Re to wait a minute, but he went off to fetch the spray from the measly first aid kit they did have. He sprayed her cut and finished wrapping it up, stopping himself before he piled too much on.
"There, you should be alright," he said. He smiled and looked at the others,
"Anyone else?"

Farah came out of one of the tents after contacting the lab with the radio.
"Alright, we've got new orders. There's a city two days away from here that's having a bad time with Lions. Should be easy enough. We're supposed to dispose of the ones we see and try and set up some defenses for the locals. They've got a fence, but it's not that impressive seeing as the Lions are getting smart and climbing over it," she said, "We'll leave tomorrow morning."
She hesitated a moment, wondering whether or not she should mention the...other problem the city was having. A few Agents had been spotted as well. They'd take care of that when the Agents showed up though. Right now, they would focus on the animals.

She thanked Dominic then started towards the supplies for the meat. She carefully a fire pit with some large stones then placed the firewood in it. She light a match and lit the fire, it's blaze light up the peaceful afternoon sky. She grabbed a few slices of meat and laid them in the frying pan, their juices sizzlingly and the wonderful smell drifted around the camp. She carefully laid each piece of meat on a plate for each of the team members and let the fire run for warmth. She rubbed her gloved hands together for warmth, she wished that she could feel the full warmth of the fire like she did when she was little.

"Cats climbing over fences? I am shocked and amazed," Niko said not even trying to sound surprised, then asked,"What kind of shenanigans are these lions up to?" Probably the usual like raiding food supplies, maiming a few people, the normal stuff wild, mutant animals do. Niko remembered back when he used to actually like animals, in fact before the world went to hell he wanted to be a veterinarian. Nowadays he absolutely relished the feel of popping the mutated freaks right in the head with a well placed bullet.

Farah chuckled slightly as Niko's indifferent tone.
"Oh, you know what lions do," she said.
She looked in Re's direction and took a deep breath of the cooking food. Before this, she loved all things meat. She hated vegetables and plants and most things that weren't meat. Her parents couldn't understand it, as they themselves didn't eat much meat. They did cook it on Sundays though, making Sunday Farah's favorite day. That was all before the chaos took over, when Farah was a different person all together.
She took a deep breath, trying to block out the memories associated the the smell of the food. There was a time to mourn and this was not it.

"Ooh, that smells good," Dominic said, putting his stuff away. He grinned,
"I'm starving."

So, does anyone have any ideas or plans for the night time? Because if not, I'm going to timeskip to morning after dinner.)

Re smiled and starting eating her own meal, she had gathered some fruit to that were spread out on the bag to keep the dirt from getting on the food. She took orange and tossed it, making sure it wasn't going to spray juice if she opened it. She started peeling the tough skin then bit into it. She loved the taste of sourness from the fruit and the sweet taste it made on her steak. She squeezed a bit of the juice on the surface of her steak and licked her lips. She finished her steak and saved the fat from the steak for oil for the lamp. After awhile of not saying anything she finally spoke up, "I'm gonna go to bed, I want to save my energy for the long walk tommorow." She slipped into the darkness of her tent and laid her coat on the right side of her bed.

....Early Morning. Sun just coming up....

Farah ducked out of her tent and yawned. She rubbed the back of her neck and stretched. She hated sleeping on the ground. She always woke up stiff in the morning. But that couldn't really be helped, now could it? She looked around the quiet camp for a moment, enjoying the quiet, before making her rounds.
"Up an at 'em, you lazy sods!" she announced loudly, rattling each person's tent. She went around again, just to make sure, and stood back. Let the complaining begin. She grinned. She enjoyed being the first one up every morning. It was fun seeing the annoyed looks on everyone's faces. That was probably her natural pest showing up. When she was a kid she'd done the same thing to her two older sisters.

Dominic bolted upright when Farah rattled his tent and yelled at him to wake up. He took a moment to slow his breathing.
Just a dream, he thought.
He growled softly to himself and threw his sleeping bag aside. He rested his head in his hands a moment, chasing away the nightmare from his mind. They were always the same, always terrifying. They came every night to interrupt his sleep. Fires, chaos, his little sister screaming, his parents frantically searching for him. Then silence. Total, crushing, silence. Sometimes he just wanted to tell someone, get it off his chest, but he refused to tell anyone he was having nightmares though. He wasn't a kid, he could handle himself.
He exited his tent after he'd calmed down and looked around. He yawned, blinked and looked at the others,
"So, when do we leave?"

She smiled at Farah, she had been awake for two hours already and had her things packed into a large bag. Her icy blue eyes looked at the others, mischief clearly shone in her smile. She got up from the burnt out fire and took the bag full of the left over deer. She slung the bag over her bag and smiled at all the faces around camp who looked annoyed. She couldn't help but make a small laugh, she pulled back her platinum hair like she did every morning. Her sweatshirt kept the cold winds from chilling her hugged her skin close.
