"I've heard stories seasons ago that sometimes Clancats that go Loner or Rogue forget their training because of the stresses of living as one cat outwith the protection, guidance and companionship of a Clan. They go completely mad sometimes, resorting to only lunging forward with claws extended, anger-blinded eyes and teeth bared, right toward potential danger and potentially end up being killed because of how reckless they were. That being said, I don't know if Oakfire has been afflicted with madness yet. Also, the refreshment training will show us if he is trustworthy and will listen. If he doesn't show trust, honour, respect or kindness, then he will remain as a tom-cat with no rank. If he doesn't show that he has again earned the title of Warrior, I will strip him of his Warrior title but he will be allowed to raise and be with his kittens. I will be kind, but I will be firm with him for what he has done. And who he could've killed using those dogs"
Duskstar's voice was firm in her decision. She knew that Oakfire, if he proved himself, could be a great asset to the Clan. If not, then his Warrior title will be taken from him and be a tom-cat dedicated to looking after his kittens. And then there were her and Owlmud's kittens. No doubt he was still angry and hurting and, with a plunging sensation in the pit of her stomach, he could potentially hurt or even kill their offspring as a way to hurt them both to the core.
I don't know if I could stop myself from killing him if he touches one hair on their bodies with intent to hurt them... she thought to herself.
At Owlmud's twitching ears, she stood up with her own ears twitching as well as her whiskers.
"Owlmud...Investigate this cat," the downwind had brought in the cat's scent to her nose and it was not familiar, "ask them why they have trespassed on this clan and find out their intentions,"
She gave her life-mate a lick on the cheek.

Duckkit collided with her mother, trembling with fright and cold.
"Momma!" she wailed, burying her face into her mother's chest and cried, "we couldn't find our way back to the camp. And it was dark. And it was scary. And the beaver's home could've been washed away and I wanted to know he was safe but...I'm sorry Momma!"
