I hugged him tightly, wrapping my thin arms around his waist. We were both on the ground now, but I didn't care. "I came back," I murmured into his shoulder.

Nick enjoyed the blissful hug for a few seconds before reality knocked on his door. And it wasn't to say 'hi' and bring over some freshly baked brownies it just happened to have extra of. It reminded him just where he was, who else was there, and who they thought he was. Nick jumped up almost immediately. As if to confirm his worries, he began hearing footsteps farther down the hall. "Nick? Everything ok over there?" Nick grabbed Zoey's arm, pulled her up, and ran without a word.

Reality hit me and I followed him hurriedly down the halls.

"Nick?" Rusty said curiously, peering down the hallway. "hm. musta been my imagination. oh well, he'll catch up..." the young captive said and began running down the hallway himself.

(a short explination before Nick gives his...Rusty was also captured by Derek and befriended Nick. Told you it was short.)

Nick slowed down a bit once he heard the voice a second time. he turned to see Rusty running towards them and mentally facepalmed. "Don't scare me like that Rusty, I thought you were Derek or something!" Nick half-joked once his young friend caught up.

:Zoey:

I half-smiled at Nick's friend and raised my hand in greeting. Of course, we didn't have much time before they noticed I was here. "Hi I'm Zoey, and we need to leave," I explained hurriedly in a hushed voice.

Rusty nodded and ran. (and of course Nick ran too.)

I ran alongside them, oddly speedy for a girl who'd been chained to a wall get whole life. We reached an exit and bolted out, the the alarms blaring to life. Red lights flashed everywhere and sirens screamed. We just kept running.

Nick and Rusty kept running, although Rusty tripped a couple times.

When we were far enough away, I panted, "Guys, one more thing: I kinda ran away to come find you and we need to get back soon."

:Reagan:

I glanced worriedly at the clock. Zoey had been gone for over an hour.

"wait...get back? get back where?" Rusty asked, also panting.

"Zoey's been gone for a pretty long time...." Alex said worriedly. suddenly (randomly) it started to drizzle...
