Justin met another guy in the woods.The talked for awhile then the new guy paid Justin and left.Justin put the money in his pocket and headed back toward the cabin.

Brit winced at the sound of the moan.

Dorothy narrowed her eyes, watching Justin. She hid behind a tree as he passed her.

The vet arrived, and checked Flicka.

Justin walked into the shack.He tied Joe up carefully making sure not to wake Joe up.Standing back up,Justin walked out of the shack and walked toward the road.

Mystery lay down next to Diablo.She sighed quietly and watched the tiny foal cry.

Diablo nudged Spirit.

Dorothy looked into the shack through a window. She walked in. "Joe, wake up." She whispered.

Mystery yawned and without thinking lay her head on Diablo's shoulder.

Spirit whimpered and stopped crying.She lay on her side.

Joe woke with a start.He struggled against the ropes for a few seconds then stopped and looked around.

Dorothy walked over to Joe. "Having fun?"

Diablo tensed for a second, then relaxed.

Mystery fell asleep quickly.Her head rested against Diablo's shoulder.

"Shut up!"Joe snapped.He relaxed his muscles and carefully slid the ropes off his hands.

"No." Dorothy yawned.

Diablo relaxed and rested his head on the ground.

Joe untied himself.He stood up and looked at Dorothy.

Flicka saw the vet and instead of fighting, she just laid there.
