Jake walked out a few minutes later.He quickly untied Janie and Dorothy and said,"Joe wants to stay."

Joe sat on the floor messing with a piece of leather.

"Did you try to talk him into coming?" Janie asked.

"Janie...he wants to stay. Besides,he shot Alec."Jake replied.He turned and walked back toward the barn.

Mystery stood up and walked over to Diablo.

Spirit ran around Diablo excitedly.

Diablo nipped at Spirit's flank playfully. He chuckled and watched her.

Janie sighed and followed Jake. "Come on Dorothy!"

Dorothy stayed, watching the shed. "I'll... catch up with you later." She leaned against the tree.

Spirit squealed and bucked playfully.Her legs got tangled together and she fell to the ground in bewilderment.

Jake walked into the barn and leaned against the door.He stared into space.

Mystery smiled and licked Spirit's head to calm her.

Joe stood up and walked outside.He stared at the moon that was barely visible from a break in the clouds.

Diablo glanced at Mystery. "Hello." He nodded.

Janie watched Mystery, Diablo and Spirit.

Spirit squealed and lay her head against Mystery's leg."Mama!"she snorted.

Jake walked back outside.He watched the clouds cover the moon.

Joe saw Dorothy and sighed.He leaned against the shack door.
