Myra's voice trailed off as she forced her eyes open. She blinked towards Drake's blurry figure, wincing.

Drake coughed, blinking. He glanced over at her weakly. "What were you saying..?"

Myra hesitated slightly before she murmured, "Before, when I was alone and my father would abuse me, I used to say that to keep myself going. I had alot of time alone with nothing to distract me from the pain, so I found my own way. I decided that pain was simply a trick the mind played on us to make life as cruel as possible. I guess old habits die hard...." she explained softly, blinking at the ceiling of her cage.

Drake blinked at her explanation, giving her a sympathetic glance. He coughed, looking down at the ground.

Myra winced, her stomach wounds searing with pain as she forced herself up onto her hands and knees shakily.

Drake coughed again, his entire body shaking now. He sat down in his cage weakly, sniffing.

Myra sat, leaning against the bars, wincing. "How come the hypnotizing didn't work this time?" She rasped softly, blinking at him curiously.
