I'm not sure which category to post this one in. I have been a member here for less than a month, this is my first drawing! Although I'm not new to digital art, I still have a great deal to learn. I wanted to try out the program and from what I used while creating this, I really like it!

I used the pencil/pen tool on one layer and a tablet. Just a simple griffin design. I wanted to keep it simple for the first try.

Any advice is appreciated! What else can I do with artwork on the site?

You can also make artwork for entering in competitions for pets on CS. I've heard it's a very good way of obtaining pets, if you have a good drawing hand which is demonstrated here

I really really like it, especially the long feathers of the tail, the feathered textured on it's chest and the dapple-style detail on it's wings. It's eyes are very striking against it's colour scheme, and they look so intense!

@PurpuraPapilio -(love your user name by the way!) Thank you very much for the complements and information! Yes, I don't know why I hadn't tried drawing something before now. But it's really fun!

@toiletpaper - Thank you! I had to zoom in a little and use a 1 brush size to get any detail out of it. Send me a message about it and I'll see if it's something I would want/can do. And let me know how commissions work on here.
