Clyde considered Rosella's words. She wanted to jump at the same time? He looked at her wings, then back at what he could see of his. He shrugged.
"Okay. Try not to be so nervous. Think of how birds fly, by spreading their wings and gliding or flapping to go higher. I'm sure that's what it'll be like." He said, not entirely sure if that statement was true or not. But the way he said it, he sounded positive. "Okay, then. Guess we should find a spot without rocks below." He walked to the edge of the small stream that led over the rocks, creating the fall. Rocks blocked most of the mouth, forcing water to stream around them before plummeting nearly a dozen feet into the lake. Only a stone or two poked their heads from the lake below. Clyde stepped onto one of the big rocks and hopped two more over, looking down to make sure he wasn't above the rocks. When he was positioned, he looked back at Rosella. "Be careful." He warned. The rocks were slippery.

"Will do!" She said to both statements following Clyde to where he stood. The rocks were slippery and she almost slipped a few times. She made her way to where Clyde was standing and looked at him. "I'm good!" She said looking down at the waterfall. She stepped to the side making sure she could spread her wings fully.

John Watson: Yeah, I didn't get the shopping.
Sherlock Holmes: What? Why not?
John Watson: Because I had a row... in the shop... with a chip and pin machine!
Sherlock Holmes: You had a row with a machine?
John Watson: Sort of. It sat there and I shouted abuse at it.

Sherlock Holmes: I need to get some air; we're going out tonight.
John Watson: Actually, I've got a date.
Sherlock Holmes: What?
John Watson: It's when two people who like each other go out and have fun...
Sherlock Homes: That's what I was suggesting.
John Watson: No, it wasn't. At least, I hope not.

Clyde did as Rosella did and spread his wings. He was pretty sure birds dove off of things with their wings folded and then spread them after a certain distance, but the fall was short and they wouldn't have a whole lot of time. If this didn't work, well, they'd know that next time. Trial and error.
"Okay, ready? Remember try and aim away from those two rocks. Okay, one...two...three!" He didn't let himself hesitated, and jumped from the rock, trying to push himself as far out onto the lake as he could so he wouldn't land directly under the fall. It was difficult to focus on keeping his wings spread wide- he kept forgetting about them. It wasn't as easy as he'd thought it would be to keep his mind on flying when he was plummeting toward the ground. Or...water. It was just water. It wouldn't kill him to land in the lake, he reminded himself, straining to keep his wings spread.
It surprised him when the wind carried him about ten feet out feet out, but then it stopped and so did he. He recalled to flap, but only managed to once before falling into the water with a splash, his effort to late. Clyde pushed himself back to the surface, the drag of his wings heavy. He managed to make it to shore and sat there panting, watching for Rosella, feathers, hair, and clothes soaked.

Rosella heard the word three and jumped. Her wings weren't as bad when she spread them. Rosella grinned as she fell and tried to keep her wings spread. She was having so much fun! Quickly remembering to flap she did so, flapping her wings she made it a few feet and fell the pain in her wings turning into an ache. She fell into the water still grinning. Swimming to the shore with some difficulty she sat next to Clyde grinning and from ear to ear. "That was awesome!" She said breathing in. "Even if i didn't fly far!" She said smiling.

Clyde couldn't help but smile at Rosella's excitement. He had to admit it had been fun...in between trying to focus and all. He shook his brown hair like a dog, sending water droplets flying in all directions.
"It would have been cooler if we'd have gone farther, but it was still pretty neat." He agreed, giving his wings a flap. "These aren't duck feathers. The water didn't slide right off'em. Guess I can rule out being half waterfowl." He wasn't sure how to dry his wings besides sitting in the sun. They weren't extremely wet, but he figured trying to fly on moist to try flying wings wasn't a goo idea. "I forgot to flap until I was almost in the water. We'll just have to keep practicing, eh?" He looked out at the lake, smile returning to his face. "Once we get this down, we'll be the rulers of the air."

Rosella smiled at him and looked at the waterfall. "My wings ached and i couldn't go any further!" She said and shaking her wings a little. They were heavy with water and her hair was sticking to her face where it was soaked. She wiped her hair out of her face and leant back .

- Calla didn't have anyone talking to her.

"They still hurt?" Clyde asked, draping his wings around himself like a blanket. He stroked the damp feathers thoughtfully. "Worse than before?" He glanced over at her briefly, then out at the lake. He wondered if there were fish in it that they could catch; hunger was starting to creep up on him. But he remembered hearing no animal sounds. Were there any creatures here, or would they have to live off of plants? The thought brought a frown to his face. Having to survive without meat was an awful thought, but he could do it. At least until they figured out where they were and how to get out.
Clyde picked up a stone and threw it into the water at an angle. It skipped three times before vanishing into the water for good.
"Think there is anything to eat around here?"

"It was only when i flapped them, but i think it's where i was knocked out when arrived here. They must have gone stiff." She looked around and saw nothing. "There must be something somewhere!" She said Looking around further noticing that she was hungry too.

Clyde continued to watch the water, as if something was going to leap from it and give him the answer to where he could find food. But nothing did. No fish hit the water, no bugs buzzed around it, no birds stalked the bank.
"It's like this place is completely void of life except us and the plants." He muttered. It was a confusing thought. He'd been in the woods a lot in his life and knew that, even with humans stomping around, there were sounds and signs of animals. But here, there were none. No deer trails that he'd noticed, no marks on the tree from woodpeckers, no chatter of squirrels. He looked at Rosella after a minute, remembering her wings were hurting. "Well...if they're stiff, moving them would probably help. We can look for something to eat until our wings dry...then try flying again..?" He suggested, but only half of his attention was given to her. The rest was still on the no-animal problem. He wrinkled his nose at the thought of eating plants for innumerable amount of time.
