Tessa-Rose looked startled for a moment but she pushed it way, baring her teeth. All the things Sonja had said about Liam was of no relevence to her, and what she had said. Keeping a hold on her sword, the gunner drew up her legs and curled one arm around them, letting her head fall back so it was resting gently but firmly on the wall behind her. She didn't say a single word, but she was seething on the inside.

Emerald gave a small laugh at Sonja's words. "Scared out of his wits? I surprised he hasn't wet his drawers." she said with a giggle. And shook her head and lay down in the middle of the room, not too far from the fire but also not too close. She curled up into a small ball, her knees pulled up to her chest and one hand under her head, the other hand over her knees. Though it wasn't the most comfortable place to sleep, she fell asleep within a few minutes.

Emerald yawned and stretched out, being careful not to accidentally hit anybody. She opened her eyes and moaned softly at the bright morning light that stung her eyes. She lay still for a moment before blinking open her eyes again and slowly sitting up. Her bruised hip and shoulder felt a little sore so she stood up a stretched, yawning here and there. She felt much better afterwards and silently crept out of the room hoping to find Gannet or somebody else who lived here.

When Melody opened her eyes, the first thing she did was to roll over and sit herself up silently, looking around for anything out of place. Seeing that there was nothing as it should not have been- aside from the fact that there was a crew of pirates sleeping in a respectable frontroom- she got quietly to her feet and crept through a nearby door. She saw Emerald had already come in, and beyond her crewmember she spotted an elderly woman working busily at an open stove. "If ye ain't gonna help," she said, not turning, "Git out o' mah kitchen. Yer cappeness, or whatever ye call her, said ye have a cook who ain't gonna work in the fields. Git him in here afore Ah finish makin' breakfast." Melody had met such people before, namely, her grandmother; she knew better than to argue or talk back. Instead she hurried back into the front room and shoved the toe of her boot once again into Jack's gut. "Get inter the kitchen," she hissed at him, leaning down so that she might not wake anyone else. "The old lady's lookin' fierce an' she's got a wooden spoon that looks just right for whackin'."

Emerald blushed slightly as the old lady spoke, she reminded her of the grandmother she wished she had and she felt bad for intruding in the woman's kitchen. "Yes ma'am." she said and quickly walked the other direction. As she did so she grabbed a piece of cloth she had around her wrist and tied her messy hair into a pony tail with it, a few stray curls framing her face.

Jack felt the nudge and moaned softly as he fluttered his eyelids open, rubbing them when he did. The cook pushed himself up onto his forearms, cocking his head to Melody.
"Wha'?" He hadn't quite prosessed her words, as his mind was foggy due to sleep. When he did, Jack scrambled to his feet and jogged out of the front room into the kitchen with his black hair in his eyes, keeping one eye on the wooden spoon. "Where do ya want me ta 'elp?"

Parents got hanged, mother put him in a barrel as a baby and thee him into the sea as soldiers attacked their ship; a gypsy woman found him and he lived with the gypsys until he was 15; he became a thief, almost got hanged, but he escaped; spent some time living in a pub, still stealing enough so he could eat; did some work as a crate carrier; fell in love with the sea; found his gypsy mother, she told him what his parents were; he left and recruited for 'The Maiden'
Family: his parents names are unknown, but the gypsy is named Jezamel

Strengths: fighting, stealing, drinking a lot without getting drunk, intelligent, and an escape artist.
Weaknesses: he doesn't have good aim, he's better off with swords, keeping the money he steals, while he is clever, he isn't wise, and he is terrible at cleaning, he has the knack for the mess being cleaner than after he attempts to clean it.
