Adam looked at her for a long time, and his scowl slowly turned to a genuine smile. "Sammy?" He gasped.

[Patch.]

"Yeah!" Sammy pulls back her hair off her face to show her two-toned eyes. "How many girls do you know with different colored eyes?"

Adam smiled and pulled her into a hug. Ian growled in warning -getting jealous.

[Patch.]

Sammy, almost forgetting about Ian, clutches Adam back- tears in her eyes. "I cried when dad made me move." She says thickly.

Adam smiled into her shoulder -rubbing her lower back. He remembered everything about how he would comfort her when she was upset, and how they were best friends. He even remembered when he had a small crush on her way back when. "I can't tell you how sad I was."

Ian took a step forward and snarled.

[Patch.]

Sammy shivers. Then Ian's snarl brings her back to earth. "Oh!" She quickly lets go of Adam, blushing. "Sorry...I just really missed Adam." She can't hold back her grin.

Adam smirked at Sammy -that same look in his eye as he had when he was flirting with someone. He winked. Ian glowered at Adam then turned his glare to Sammy. "I can tell." He grumbled. His jealousy scale wasn't very big and it didn't take him very long to envy someone or something. He saw the look in Adam's eyes and growled. Adam looked at Ian. "Chill Ian." He said slowly -watching as one of his hands curled into a fist.

[Patch.]

"Ian.." Sammy says gently. "Adam and I were best friends when we were little. I'm sorry if you don't like it and..." She lowers her voice. "Don't worry, I still love you." Her eyes show a bit of fear, like she thought he wouldn't believe her.

((You know what would really set Ian off? If Sammy and Adam started hanging out, and then one day they kissed or something. Now that would be something!))

Ian kept his blazing eyes on Adam, then roughly turned and sulked away. Adam looked at Sammy. "Wait here..." He said, then followed after his cousin. "Ian, wait, come on, don't pout." They were far enough away from Sammy now. Ian spun around and slammed his fist into Adam's jaw -making him fall to the ground. "Leave her alone. I never liked you. I never will. If you touch her again, you can look forward to something much more painful." He growled as he watched him yell with pain, his jaw hurting more whenever he moved it. "You a$$! You broke it." Adam said -barely moving his mouth then letting blood dribble out. "Don't tell Sammy." Ian warned. "You're going to tell her you ran into something...or else..." He made sure Sammy wasn't around before running towards his cabin.

[Patch.]

Sammy shakes her head. "Boys.." She mumbles irritably. Deciding not to interfere, she heads for the lake. She sits on the bank and watches some naraids (water nymphs) play with some large fish near the docks. She tucks from of her dark brown hair behind her air and sighs. She's been almost overflowing with happiness when she'd recognized Adam. Now, Ian was p*ssed- probably at her too. Sammy sighs again and starts tracing her finger in the sand.
