Coya sat up, more worried now, "what's wrong?"

Demon sighed and stood, "Nothing." he siad, his ears flicking in an irritated kind of way.

"Demon... Not communicating is bad. Just tell me." She watched him, trying to stay calm, but everything that could be wrong flashed through her mind.

Demon twitched, "It's nothing. I just need... A while."

"for what?" Coya push, now standing nervously, "from me? Us?"

Demon stepped towards the exit, "Just a minute to remember..." he mumbled, slowly taking another step as if each step was a great effort.

Coya stood frozen, her terrified eyes watching every step. To remember what? Before the pups? Before their mating? Before her? Maybe he wanted to remember how much nicer it was mated to moon... She couldn't speak, was just paralyzed.

Demon flinched at the feel of the cold outside air. He inhaled deeply and sat at the outside of the cave, closing his eyes and letting the wind whip through his fur.

Coya's ears pinned and she slowly backed up, going as far as she could before hitting the cave wall. She pressed closer, using the cold to focus. If he wanted out... It would destroy her, but could she let him walk? If it was really what he wanted?
