He growled deeply but as he was about to lunge at the Buck and help Gem finish the job when a dot caught his eye turning his head he saw the foal and his face relaxed his eyes looked at the mother then the father fighting with all he had and his mind made up fast, he lunged at Gem knocking her from the grip of the buck and landing on the ground as he watched the buck stumble back and shake his antlers Dagger flashed his k-9's and growled as the buck seemed to get it, he watched the buck turn and go to his mate. Gem growled as she flipped on the ground and landed with a thud. She saw Dagger growl at the buck as it left. She gulped watching the meal walk away but said nothing against it. Her eyes softened and smiled watching the fawn trail behind the doe. "Well, that was a nice thing you did." she said softly.
