Snow Shoe looked across the barren pack of her's. So exposed. She thought. Suddenly small snowflakes drifted down from the sky and hit the ground. Before she knew it her whole pack was covered in snow. Beautiful. So... Hidden.

Alana woke up, her eyes burning from the sunlight shining down on her small pack of three. She stretched out her legs, making an almost angel like form in the ground. She stood up abruptly, shaking of some of the snow that covered her dense coat. Noticing her two runners not very far back, she back sat down, not caring to get involved in the discussion. She looked up at the sun, making sure it was all the way in the sky. She smiled, and peered down at the snowy ground. She blew a whisp of air, carrying it all the way to the ground. She watched a small bush grow, the size of her paw. Alana took a berry with her mouth, as it slid down her mouth. She sucked off the juice for a few seconds, enjoying the ripeness the Ilumna always had. Her berry was soon gone, and the urge for another was consuming her mind. She fought off the urge, hoping to be going hunting soon.

Rogue woke up in a tree, his tail dangling off the branch. He smiled, swinging it back and forth. After a while of entertainment, he jumped off the branch, landing directly below. He landed on his four feet, smiling broadly around. He soon sat down, his one red eye inspecting the area.

Dash smiled. "That's a great idea! If you can do it on fish, you might be able to do it on animals to weaken them!" She put of the fire and stretched out. "I'd like to try out a new technique today during the hunt. I was thinking that maybe, I could trap the prey with a wall of fire!"

"That'd be awesome!" Chaparral replied, wagging her long tail in excitement. She noticed the StoneshardPack Lead, Alana, not to far off. She walked up to her Lead, and politely dipped her head in respect. "May we begin our hunt? Dash and I are ready whenever you are. We've been talking about neat ways to use our gifts to help trap prey. That way we can bring in twice as much for the Core!" As said in the laws of the wolves, every pack was required to bring prey to the Alpha, Beta, Pup Bringers, and Talents in the Core. Although these wolves held the highest amount of power in the wolves' Crest, they did not hunt. After bringing the required amount of food to the Core, the wolf Packs were free to eat within their territories as the pleased.

Irisa stepped outside into the Core, the chilly winter zephyrs ruffling her long coat. Part of her wished she could turn into her second form, a blue jay, and sail on the morning winds. However, her Gift only came to her when she needed it most, and it was not for her enjoyment. Irisa brushed past the Beta's Mate, Puppie. "Care to eat with me?" the lithe wolf offered. As Alpha Mate, Irisa had the first pick in meals. Her friend Puppie got the third choice, right after Irisa's mate. "I think I'll check up on the Packs today," The pretty EarthCrest Alpha Mate told her friend. "And make sure that the Leads are doing a good job. Would you like to come with me?"

"That sound lovely. A nice walk to stretch my legs. And a meal after the unexsistant alpha ate wouldn't hurt." Puppie said standing up. "Where to first?" She asked.

"StoneshardPack is just over these hills," Irisa suggested. "So should we go there first? Let's see, what was the name of the Lead there? Alan... Anna... oh, Alana, that was it. Yes, we should go see how Alana's Pack is doing. If I remember correctly, StoneshardPack has never brought in that much prey for us. It's probably because of their habitat – they don't have as much vegetation as LeafPack or RunningwolfPack. I hope Alana has helped turn that around."
