[-Rawrz-, I'm afraid that I can't accept you even if you finish your forms. Your character is a sue, and besides that I stated, clearly stated, that if your female characters are any sort of "looker" as yours obviously is, they would have no reason at all to go out into the desert. Again, I apologize, but this is not a romance and your character is looking to make it one.]

What do you mean a "Sue"? Like I get perfect charries, and I didn't think she was, and with the "looker" I wanted to manipulate it to make it like she "was" one, then on the inside she isn't. It's a character thing. And no, I did not intend to make it a romance, I actually had some things planned *Derp* But fine I understand

[Thanks for understanding.]

Alonzo Cortez, dashing man, crack shot, and currently out of a job. He patted his mare's neck as she snorted dust, thick California dust. "Come on Beauty my doll. Hup." He tapped his heels to her sides and his mare, Beauty, broke into a trot. The mare was aptly named too, for she was a foregous creature. The other outlaws could keep them black stallions but Al loved his dark bay mare. She wasn't purebred, not that he cared and her lines looked to be a cross between an Arab and a Thoroughbred. She was built for speed and stamina. He clicked his tongue and his horse broke into a steady canter, a pace she could keep for quite some time. Alonzo smiled at the smooth pace as they headed towards town.

Jordan steepled his fingers and smiled at the man sitting across from him. "Check." He informed him with a superior look. The man frowned and hesitantly moved a piece, glancing at Jordan as if for a clue. Jordan gave him none. The man set his piece down and Jordan shook his head. "Wrong move." He shifted his king so the queen was in ling with the white king. "Check mate. And that, sir is why they call me the Black King. Now i believe the wager was one gold coin?" The man was looking nervous, and Jordan raised a brow. "Oh now lemme guess. You don't have it do you?" He shook his head not meeting Jordan's eyes. "No? Such a shame, well then I guess the price with have to be.... your life." Gun shot rang out and the man slumped down dead. Jordan laughed and tossed a coin to the waitress pocketing the Black King- it was his own piece. "Keep the change love." He called with a wink and left the bar room feeling stares on his back.

Alley Alwendde glared at the man in front of her. He had her back into a corner with no where to run. Idiot was drunk, she could smell the liquor on his breath. "Now now darlin don't be so quick ta leave us. We ain't got to know ya all proper like." He was telling her. Ally skrunched up her nose in disgust. "Thanths but no." She replied, her odd lisp noticable. He growled at her making Ally sigh. She pulled her knife out pressing it to his throat. "You'll let me go." She informed him contemptuosly and he back up a
s she walk forward. Suddenly she slammed the butt of the knife into the side of his head and the man dropped. Ally ran. She had managed to steal, or as she liked to put it permanently borrow, a few coins to help her on her way. She was heading to a larger town in California and when a girl looked like she did it was d*mn hard to get good work. She heard the man groan and get to his feet yelling something in coherent and she hurried up. She ran to her hourse mounting quickly and raced off towards the horizon knowing that if she was caught there would be hell to pay.

Rose paced the sheriff’s office routinely checking the clock. She despised waiting and this was starting to piss her off. When the door opened, Rose glanced up.
“Ah ‘Wild Rose’ what can I do for you this time?” the old sheriff smiled at her and the stingy smell of alcohol made its way towards her.
Drunk fool, Rose thought to herself, not wanting to get the old drunker upset.
“I want my money.” Rose spoke in a clear crisp voice which made the old sheriff look up. Rose was not the kind of person who truly cared about the money, but when she put two months into rounding up the small pack of cattle thieves, she wanted what was rightfully hers. Slowly counting out what he owed her, the old sheriff causally looked Rose over. She was wearing a pair of men’s pants and a man’s shirt with a simple vest. Her long red hair was pulled back into a long braid that ended just about her mid-back. Her cheeks were slightly sunburned and her eyes cold.
“So what do you plan on doing with all this money? Buy yourself some women’s clothes for a change!”

Rose grinded her jaws together holding back her wicked tongue; taking the money she walked out of the office and into the bright sun. Making her way to the nearest inn Rose paid for a simple room and a hot bath.

[Erica, Alley seems a little bit sue-ish. Normally I wouldn't be jumping so hard on people for this sort of thing, but it tends to make characters bland and icky when everything goes their way. Also, they're not pirates. People don't steal purses / pickpocket people. It just wasn't a thing.]

[Also, I think it's kind of funny how everyone seems to think that every man who lived in the West back then was either a drunk, an outlaw, or both XD]

Tommie woke up slowly and grunted, "No need tah kick me, boss. I'm just havin' a bit of a snooze, tha's all." He didn't seem to have been hurt by the boot he had taken to his gut; in fact, if you hadn't seen Billy thump him, you might not have known that anything had happened. "Git yer lazy ass up and keep an eye on that girl." Tommie levered himself up until he was crouching, then grabbed his hat from the ground and jammed it on his head as he stood. "Whatever you say, boss." Billy watched him for a moment, then nodded. "No fires, neither. The lawmen'll be on the lookout an' I don't plan on being caught." Tommie nodded without speaking, and Billy seemed satisfied. The leader settled down on the ground with his back to one of the stone sides of the canyon. None of them had bedrolls to speak of, since the fire that had trimmed their numbers down to three had also eaten their supplies. Tommie stayed on his feet, unsure whether or not he was allowed to sit back down. When he looked at the girl, she was glaring fiercely at him. He glared right back, then sauntered over with the thought that he might as well have a bit of fun while she was bound and gagged. He wouldn't actually do anything to her- he might be an outlaw, but he wasn't a rapist- but it would be fun to make her wiggle.

[[sorry viletta's fiancé is a vague character...i jus didnt know what to name him.]]

Viletta looked around as her stallion, Chestnut slowed when they entered town. It was one of those small towns where everyone knew everyone. The cut on her back stung and brought tears to her eyes as she brought her little brown stallion to a hault infront of the infermery. Viletta cursed at the sign that read 'CLOSED'. Quickly she went over to the pub and tied Chestnut to a post before entering. ''anyone a yous knows how ta stitch a wound?'' she asked.

((Thank you!))

Alex stood up in his saddle and leaned back as Shawnee began to pick her way down the hill. The mule was tired and her hooves slipped and slid on the loose soil, and her rider could only murmur quite encouragements, "C'mon Shawn, only a shor' bit now, you'll git water soon." His voice was calm, and his face unbiased towards any emotions, and his yellow eyes trained on the low sun, oh, boy, but he was anything but calm. He was furious at himself. He was a darned fool that had gotten himself lost, and now he'd pay for it. He had been headed to a place he'd been before, a healthy valley full of pine trees, and a stream full of fish. And most importantly, there wasn't anybody else there. But Alex had gone too far north and was now in an unfamiliar landscape of sage and witch's broom. He was out of water and very low on ammo. Alex felt angry at himself and sick with worry just thinking about it, because it left him only one option. He knew of a town not far from here, where he could get what he needed- but was it worth this risk? Well I haven't seen a stream all day and I need bullets. And that's that. Jest keep yer head down, Coyote, like y' always do, they won't even notice. Still, he hissed inwardly as he steered Shawnee towards town.
Alex rode into the town slowly, his pa's hat shielding the sunset's light from his face, his shoulders relaxed. His gaze flicked over to an inn, his bones ached just thinking about a good night's sleep, but decided against it. He'd get what he'd needed, get out, and sleep out in the wood tonight. Alex dropped swiftly out of his saddle and led his mule past a bar. The light that spilled out of the windows seemed inviting, even for a introvert like himself, and there was a large crowd in there that he could easily get lost in. Well, maybe a drop of cider wouldn't hurt me none..

[Hey, vane? I don't think any of our characters are close enough to yours ^^; Viletta's going to have to rescue herself this time.]

Lucky Jack patted his horse's neck and watched as the sun finally sank all the way below the distant horizon, taking with it the last of the day's warmth. Things could get a mite cold out here at night, even in the summer. Taking off his boots, the man jammed them underneath the curve of his saddle where it sat on the ground, in order to try and stop scorpions and the like from crawling in and giving him a nasty surprise in the morning when he put them on again. With that he wiggled into his bedroll and half-closed his eyes. He couldn't fall asleep until he was sure that there was nothing out there that might try and eat him. When he saw how calm his mare was, though, he too relaxed and drifted off to sleep.

[Sorry for the tiny post, but I'm short on time right now.]

Alex led Shawnee to a place out of the bar's light and tied her to a hitching post, specifically in a way so the he could untie her quickly. You never know, after all. He then slinked nonchalantly across the street, like a shadow, up to five horses tied to a hitching post. Alex pretended to be fiddling with the lariat hanging off an appaloosa's saddle but was quickly checking it's owner's possessions. Bullets! The wrong kind. D*mn. He scanned the saddles of a black horse and a dun, but no luck. With surprisingly gentle hands, he calmed a nervous pinto. He adjusted her cinch strap and loosened some dirt clumps from her fetlocks. She was a fine horse, really, with very strong legs and one brown and one china blue eye. For a moment, Alex considered stealing her too, but argued against it. He liked his mule just fine, she was practical and hardy.
Alex hid a smirk. Her saddle had a whole pack of just the right ammo. He smoothly slipped it away from the pinto's saddle, gave her a pat on the neck, and walked back to Shawnee. After finding a bucket, filling it with water at a pump, and giving the mule her fill, he leaned against her warm side and dug through his pockets. Barely anything to spare for a drink. Don't need one, anyways. Alex decided he'd save up for splurging a little tomorrow morning. He planned to come into town and buy himself eggs and bacon. It had been forever since Alex had had something tasty and filling to eat, in the last two months traveling had worn hard on him, he'd lost weight.
Humming softly, he saddled up and passed the bar and a woman asking people if they knew how to stitch a wound. He did, but didn't mind stopping. She could solve her own problem. Shawnee trotted on.
