She blinked and gritted her teeth. "Obviously." she hissed, then gazed at him with an apologetic look. "Sorry..." she murmured.

when they reach the camp, he gently lifts up lionkit and pads into the nursery. he turns his back on willowtail and gives mouse a soft lick on the cheek.

"but mom! i want to play with the other kits!" Mintkit squeals.
Willowtail pulls her closer.
