"Let's not and say we did."

Dropping down into a chair, Kain sighed. "What was that back there, Kain?" his twin asked, worried. Keeping his eyes on the table, he replied, "I don't know, okay? I just...snapped." he sighed again and ran his hands through his hair. Why did he care so much? That look in her eyes...Sarina had clearly never been in a situation like this, and keeping all the facts from her would have hindered more than helped her in the end. For some reason, Kain wanted her to survive. He couldn't even picture her not being here. Just then, Stark appeared in the kitchen, Sarina trailing behind. "Well, they've turned in for the night." Kole said to his question. "They won't be up until morning." his twin looked up and put in his own opinion. "Most likely, they'll not attack for another day or two. They need to scope out the place, see what our routines are and stuff like that." upon his silence, Kole interjected, eyes alight with an idea. "What if..." he began. "What if we start a routine. Like everyday things...you know, when we clean the house, do the laundry...things like that. We do this routine to make them THINK they know our whole day." looking up, Kain said in an awed voice. "And when they try to attack..." his brother looked at him with a grin. "We use the house to our advantage. We know the inside, they don't." he glanced at Stark while Kain looked thoughtful. Then, "So once we get them to think they know what we'll be doing all day, we can surprise them. If they think we'll be outside..." he and his twin finished the sentance together. "We'll be inside, waiting for them."

17/♂/Single ♥/ Shifts into Black Wolf: Affinity for Ice

"Yeah, I'm a bit cocky...What's your point?"

I listened to what the twins had to stay, remaining silent as they told me their plan. "Hmm..." I thought aloud after they finished. "Ambush and a little sabotage eh?" I grinned. "I like it. Now all we got to do is come up with this fake routine. But we can't look suspicious, sooner or later it's going to get through their minds that we're planning something. We have to act like normal teens would. So, I ask you this...What would you do in your house if you had it all to yourself, no parents and no authority to tell you what to do? It's basically the situation we're in right now right? I mean it's obivous we aren't getting home anytime soon. With that being said, this is our house and we have no authority here. What would normal teens say about that? I glanced at them. "We can't let them know we're one step ahead of them already. We have to make them think, that we're a bunch of clueless morons that think all the drama's over." I ran a hand through my puffy black hair, my bright, ice cold blue eyes darting between Kole and Kain, trying to see what they think about what I just said through their body language.

Sarina listened silently as the vampire boy spoke, her body motionless but her eyes thoughtful. The plan was, in all honesty, brilliant. Not that she'd give him the satisfaction of telling him so. She knew he'd proposed the idea only in hopes to help the group, but she didn't want to allow him one more reason to be better than her. She already felt weak and clueless next to them, which was quite a new feeling for her.

All petty defensiveness forgotten, Sarina now listened to Stark, and for the first time, something clicked into place in her head. They did stay here with no adults, completely on their own. They didn't have to deal with anyone. All this time she'd been worried about how she was going to get back to the house, how much trouble she'd be in when she got home, how much crap she'd have to take from her abusive father for the rest of her existence because she needed money and food and shelter and he had it. But these teens...they had it all figured out. They lived here without trouble, apart from being plagued by hunters, which she could live with. They had plenty of resources, a roof over their head and everything they needed to survive, thrive even. And no parents.

As this realization dawned on her, it was all she could to not to grin. Indeed, she appeared to grimace as she held in a smile, her eyes glittering with a twinkle that she was sure looked maniacal. She could stay here. Could she stay here? Akane had acted like she was sticking around, like she was included, but maybe they were just being hospitable, housing and helping a wounded....creature. No--she was going to do whatever it took to stay. This house felt like more of a home to her after a few hours than her father's had felt like her entire life. Yes...stay. Forever. She had now tuned the others out, lost in her own blissful thoughts.

Kain and Kole looked at each other then back at Stark and Sarina. "Ummm, I dunno." Kole shrugged. "Play video games all day?" his brother frowned. "Yeah, but they have to see us doing stuff." he said. Kole looked thoughtful. "We could hold a party." he suggested and Kain shot him an 'are you serious?' look, scowling. "What? It might work!" he persisted with a shrug. Kain sighed. "We don't wanna get normal people mixed up in this, okay?" he replied, running a hand through his hair, a little irritatated. Seriously...did he have to be the older twin brother here when he wasn't even older than Kole? The said twin pouted.
