River shyly turned away but then look back saying " Would you like to run with me to that tree ?"

Bella said " What a pretty name!" " his name is river" she said nodding towards river.

" Ummm.. " She looked at Grace hopefully. When she nodded her head, Melody smiled ably at River and walked over to him. With Cocoa, she could be herself, but around River she was shyer and just.., different.

" Thank you. River is a lovely name too. And this is Jinx." She said nosing Jinx forward.

Bella told River to be careful. Then she said " hello !"to jinx.

River said " Let's run to the tree!" Some how he felt he really liked the filly named melody.

" Ok!" She whinnied, taking off and leaving River in the dust.

River with one last look at his mom took off to try his whobbly long legs. He caught up to Melody, panting after his run. " Thats was fun !"he whinnied

"I know! Now what? Wanna play tag?" She looked up at him with sparkly brown eyes. He wasn't to much talker than her, just the perfect hieght, actually. She giggled in her tinkly laugh and pawed the ground.

"Ummm" he stuttered looking at her sparkly eyes "sure!"He said.

Melody shot him a lopsided grin and tagged him with her nose. "You're it!" She giggled.
