Entry Twelve
Alright. Thursday. Oh, and guess what. This next Monday is our last day of school! Yep- we get out around this time every year. It's really nice, actually. But anyways. At school today there was a showdown. I grabbed my usual outfit out of the washer and went out the door. Until my car get fixed, dad is letting me use his to get to and from school. Our town is very small- so it's not too hard for him to walk to work. Nobody had ever seen my dads car, so hopefully nobody would trash it. I didn't want to call dad and explain his windows were broken, too. So I parked the car and went in. Bailey confronted me almost at once, her sisters flanking her. You should know by now Bailey's words are in pink.
"Well, well, well. Look who's back. I should have asked this such a very long time ago. Why are you still around here? In dace you haven't realized, Kylie, this school is mine."
"No, Bailey. This school is not yours. This school belongs to the owner of the property. Assuming you even KNOW what property means."
She scoffed. "Are you trying to say that I'm stupid? Because if you are that's just so.... so... so... IMMATURE! YES! THAT'S THE WORD!"
I chuckled. Once again, Ash's paw landed on my shoulder. "I'll take care of this." He murmured. I stepped back for him.
"Oh, how not surprising. You have to have someone else fight your battles. Tsk, tsk. What a shame."
"Bailey, if I may," He began. "you aren't as amazing as you think. I know you think, in your own delusional world, you're perfect. But no- that's not the case. Your outfits are cheesy. Your car is nothing fancy compared to the things I have in my garage. Your little "insults" mean nothing. You may think you have business here, but you don't. Nobody likes you, Bailey. NOBODY. Well, except maybe your snob sisters." He raised his voice little by little for the next part. "And I think I speak for everyone here when I say that I wish you'd just SHUT UP once in awhile!" People literally started clapping, I am not kidding you. Bailey ran out of the school, crying, with her sisters close behind. Once again, I was very proud of his bravery.
At lunch people started walking past our table talking to him. I really felt like a third wheel. But then he leaned over to talk to me. Well- it was more whisper then talk. "Hey, what do you say to ditching this place? It's not like they'll know. We did come in this morning." I looked at him. "Wait. Are you asking me to ditch with you?" He nodded. "Yes, yes I am." I burst out laughing.
And yet somehow, we did end up leaving school when the bell for the next class rang. I usually wouldn't even consider it, and I'm not saying it's something someone should do, but the offer was just too tempting.
We really just hung out as his house and watched a few movies all day. I called up dad from Ash's house about 4, letting him know where I was. He had been getting nervous. I had actually already dropped dad's car off at my house, and then Ash drove me over to his house. Kinda complicated, I know, I know. But anyways. It was about 6 when Ash drove me home. He was sweet and walked around toe car to open my door. Then he walked me up to the door. But then something I didn't expect to happen happened. Just as I was about to go inside the house he, um... kissed me...
