There are so many "what ifs" when it comes to introducing new rats. I mean Harriette is doing fine solitary but I really want her to have a sister. I'm scared the other rat will attack Harriette. What if I got a baby rat, not a tiny baby, but one young enough so that It wouldn't be territorial yet.

If you get a baby girl you should get a pair of them, or the energy of the youngster could annoy Harriette.

It's unlikely that the new rat will attack her, and more likely that she will attack the new rat. Usually introductions with females are pretty easy- does seem to be more accepting of newcomers. If you get a pair of babies she will probably not see them as a threat, and will be less likely to get fussy about them.

I'd be willing, being my cage has three stories but I don't think my dad would like three -.-, We have 5 pets at our house, including our two fish. He thinks that is a lot though. So do you think I'd be better off getting an adult rat. Harriette is less than a year old, and is pretty energetic herself though.

for my rats I use ivermectrin. They love it lol but it's usually used for horses, so obviously I just give them a tiny bit, like uncooked rice size. It tastes good, and gets rid of those pesky parasites (:

I think that was in it lol XD i duno, i bought it from apet shop.

Quick question, are rats allowed bread as at collage (its an animal collage) they give their rats a loaf of bread daily, i thought that that much bread can't be good also most of it has mold on.

That's bad for them, especially if it is moldy.

Here's an updated picture of Marlena, the baby I saved a month ago-

Sorry it's blurry, she's a zoomer.

And here's one of my boys-
