.:Natalia Feathorn:.
Natalia walked through the woods, hoping to find something to eat. She had been wandering around aimlessly for the past few days, and she really needed food. Perhaps it was a punishment for wandering away from the rest of the kids, but nevertheless, Natalia was determined to keep herself away from them as much as possible. None of those kids knew her; none of them knew what she was going through. Ever since the tragic and horrifying death of her sister, Myrna, Natalia had been more antisocial than ever.
A flashback of her sister's death crept up on her. Myrna ran a few feet ahead of her, laughing happily as she plodded through the rain-soaked mud. It had rained a few days before, Natalia recalled.
"Careful, Myrna," she called.
"There's a lot of sharp stuff on the ground here." Mryna rolled her eyes and kept running. Then, it happened. So suddenly, no one could have expected it. Myrna's foot slid out from under her, sending her crashing down...right on an awkwardly-poking branch. It was sharpened and very long. Natalia screamed and reached for her sister, but before she could grab her and save her from a horrible death, the thirteen-year-old was speared on the stick. Myrna let out an awful, bone-chilling gurgle, coughed up bodily fluid, and went still.
Shuddering, Natalia shook away the vision. She never wanted to hear the awful sound of her sister's shrill scream as her feet went out and her life drained out of her body. She heard some steps behind her and whipped around to see a humongous rabbit staring at her curiously.
Lord, please forgive me for this... Natalia extended one of her hands to the rabbit and muttered, "Roast it." It immediately caught fire and squealed in pain. Her heart ached for the rabbit; while she didn't care much for the cute and fuzzy, she absolutely hated killing anything. Natalia reached out both hands to the rabbit and said,
"Wind...break..break its neck. Water, cool it off." There was an awful
snap and a sad
sss as the rabbit's neck broke and it was extinguished.
"I must now accept my punishment...give it to me." Natalia spoke the words she had long-since memorized.
Natalia winced as a sharp pain cut across her palm.
Oosh...the power decided to be gentle this time, I suppose. I expected more of a slice-your-stomach kind of pain... She glanced at the rabbit and noticed that the fire had completely singed its pelt off, and now it was "cooked", so to speak. She ate it reluctantly, feeling like an awful murderer for taking the rabbit's life in such a way. After she had finished, she stood up, satisfied, and walked back towards where she knew everyone else would be. She walked for a few minutes before bumping right into Formosa and Liz.. She muttered a quick sorry and looked around.
"Er...where's everyone?"(They do all live together right? If not then my post is complete trash LOL)
