I chuckled, then sank to the ground and laid back in the fresh, soft dirt.

Jake watched then sat beside her "This is why I like the country side" he laughed softly.

"I've never been out here before, but I like it," I said with a smile.

"Never really? wow, why?" Jake asked curiously.

I shrugged and sighed softly. "I've never been allowed to. Actually, I kind of...snuck out..." I blushed slightly.

Jake chuckled softly "I see, wont your parents be worried about you?"

"My parents aren't...with us," I said quietly. "They were killed in the raids a few years back. Since then, I've been in a manor." I rolled my eyes. "I hate it there."

"Well, I work from sun-up to past sun-down, the women that work alongside me usually act as though I don't exist, Anabel was taken by a man, away from the manor, I don't often get fed, and beatings are constant." I shuddered slightly. "But it's something I have to live with, so there's no use in complaining."
