Grace Ellie Woods

Grace sat on her bed, and looked at the floor. A date? How.. what am I going to wear? I can't wear these wretched sweats! Grace remembered there was the door she never liked to open. It was full of clothes that the adults gave. Grace felt that it was cursed, and how she never needed to wear something nice. Grace collapsed back, only her legs hanging off the bed. She rubbed her eyes and sat there for a minute. Time. Time was on the tick. Grace jumped up, and ran to the door. She dug through all the clothes until she found one that pleased her. It was a light blue tank top connected to a normal blue ruffled skirt. Grace smiled, this was the one.

She laid the outfit on her bed, then ran to her mini bathroom. She combed her hair out, which took about five minutes. Grace just left her hair down, but found a small cute bow to place on the side of her head. Grace then pulled the outfit on her, then went to her closet. She couldn't find much except for a small bracelet that she had made as a kid from a few pieces of string. It was cute, but too small to fit on her wrist.

Grace looked at the clock and realized she was already a half hour late. Grace ran out of her room, how could she let Shawn down. Thinking about Shawn led her to thinking about the date, or whatever it was. What would they do? What could they talk about? Will it be awkward? Grace pinched herself, she mustn't worry herself. Once she got to the outside area, she looked for Shawn. What did he say to meet? Grace couldn't remember, so she just scanned for him.

He was in the crook of the tree, head lolled back, staring at the clouds above. One leg dangled from the branch, the other held him in his position, foot painfully stuffed between the small 'V' in the tree's branches. The green leaves practically covered him, which also triggered his allergies. Curse- Shawn sneezed loudly, unaware he was even about to until it was too late - These trees! Gripping the white bark in both hands, he swung the 4 feet to the ground, barely getting his feet onto the ground before dropping all his weight.

Running a hand through his hair, Shawn looked around for Grace. She should've been there by now, he knew that much. Maybe she won't show up, I was kind of unpractical with all of this. Why was it that the thought deflated his good mood? He went from being happy, to kind of sad. Walking around the tree in circles, he stared up at the clouds, thoughts again starting to swarm him. Sometimes the thoughts were like bees, they stung a little harder then you remembered.

Shawn was sitting cross-legged now, Indian style. He had one had on his ankle, and his left hand on his rights wrist. The sweat shirt was the only thing that covered his scar, and that thought didn't set well with him. It meant if he got warm, he couldn't push the sleeves up like he normally did. Why was he even thinking about this know?! Staring off to the lab's building, he saw Grace, finally. She was wearing a light blue tank-top, blue ruffle shirt. It looked cute on her, and he had to at least smile when he waved at her.

So what if this had been a bad idea, they both were here now, right? He pinched his nose shut before sneezing the next time, eyes watering a little. It wasn't a bad idea, just not a good one to meet outside in the open air. Brushing that thought aside, he waved again to Grace, hoping she saw him this time. "Grace! Over here!" He called to her, hoping he didn't look as bad as he felt with all his allergies acting up from the trees, grass, pollen, everything.

"What?!" Formosa asked in disbelief to Elizabeth's comment. "I'd much rather have healing than light! All I can do is set stuff on fire if I'm not careful. You can freaking heal people!" She felt her face start glowing at her slight anger, and it was quickly followed by her hair. "Great." she muttered, trying to calm herself down. When she was finally calm enough to where it was just her arms glowing again, she answered Elizabeth's other question as if she'd never said anything before now. "With just my arms lit up, I could probably keep them going for about half a day. I can light up my whole body, but that would barely last me a few hours. Then, the scientists have got me to where I can build a ball of light in my hands which can destroy almost any material on the planet. To do that, though, I have to be quick and it almost kills me every time." She paused, shooting Elizabeth a look that told her she was dead serious. "It takes everything I have to do that, and I can't do it very easily. The scientists say I will come to a time when I can not almost die when I make one, but so far there's been no improvement." She sighed a little when she felt her neck start to warm up and the random ebb and flow of her powers was making her dizzy. She grabbed Elizabeth's wrist for support, hoping that she would have time to heal herself. "Sorry," she said when her head was clear. "I do get drained easier than most."

Austin walked swiftly through the hallways of the building. He was heading towards the side of the building where most of the experiments were staying. At least he was until he saw the door. He was walking and passed only to back step seeing it. He ws an extremely curious person and this door ws a very curious door. It had awindow with an image of trees an sky. Something he'd only witnessed through windows. He wondered if this was a door that lead outside. There weren't many and if there were tey were boreded up in places where the experiments would think this plce was totally sealed off. He felt the cool window with the back of his hand. The window was cool to the touch which meant this was a real window an not a painted picture. He was suspicious in that way.He pattesd down his body finding a paper clip in his jeans pocket. That was odd because he never really cared paper clips. Feeling lucky he felt inside his ba pocket finding a bobby pin. He covered his mouth so he wouldn't shout. His luck was just to good today.

He put he two pecies of metal at a 45 degree angle to each other. He was good at picking locks. He was taught by the best after all. Taught by the scientists of course. He smiled as he heard the ever so enlightining click and the door slowely slid open with a soft creaking noise. He qickley slid around the corner of the door and out side. He threw up them deuces toth camera closing the door behind him.
