I come from a small town in the middle of the Bible Belt, where being anything other than 'straight' is a terrible thing.
For example- my parents tell me that people of different sexualities burn in Hell(which I dont believe in). Well, I happen to be lesbian(not that they know that).
Its difficult- between hate crimes, discrimination, and supposed damnation, it gets hard to look on the bright side. Sometimes, my girlfriend and I think we're alone, and that we will never find acceptance.
Thats why, when I see things like this, it makes me want to weep with joy. It honestly makes my life that much better, and makes me know that there are people out there that support me.
So, I want to thank you, and everyone who is supporting us. I really, really appriciate you!
