Welcome to Canada, where it snows, rains, hails, has sunny days, cloudy days, and 4 seasons a year! Oh, yeah, and there's vampire wolves.

Set at 2065, about 30 years ago, humans still roamed the earth, and they still do. But something else did too, back then. Something inhuman; immortal. Something dangerous, and not afraid to kill. Vampires. However, the last 'human' vampire was exterminated by an unknown force 32 years ago. Before that, however, one vampire decided to pass on it's powers or curse, whichever you perfer, to a suitable subject. Knowing all 'human' vampires would be tracked and killed, he passed on the virus to a canine specimen, a healthy, large grey wolf he stumbled upon in the forest. It became like him, somewhat, the vampire-ness and all.

Contrary to popular opinion, the vampire wolves will not 'sizzle' in sunlight, however they perfer not to be out at sunhigh, when the sun is directly above. Mostly nocturnal, they travel at night; but against old tales, they do travel during the day. They have the strength of a 5 wolves, and against legends, are destructable. They do have hard skin, however, and it is hard to punture. To kill one of these creatures, their head must be crushed or punctured severely, and same with the heart; however not with a 'wooden stake'. Their skin and wounds heal almost instantaneously, without scarring. They will not cringe at a crucifex and cannot transform into bats. Their eyes are always a pale or icy blue, and their fur colors come in shades of grey, black, white, blonde (pale brown) or a mix of them all. But before they are turned, they are any color they wish. They have the hearing of 5 bats and can hear a dry leaf fall from a mile away. They can see even the finest of pixels, each detail profound and magnettized. They can sense the falsehood in voices, so lying to a vampire wolf will result in your life most likely being terminated, for they do not like being lied to. At all. And against all other information, biting another wolf or animal perhaps, does not change them into a vampire, however the virus contracted so far seems to only effect canines, so they musn't worry about contracting it to their prey. To change a wolf, blood must be exchanged, and a large amount. The transfer is tiring for both parties, and painful for the new vampire. They feed upon large game; deer, elk, caribou, bears, anything alike. And of course, they drain the blood of the animal. However, they don't have to kill it. Usually, they kill the weaker and sickly prey, devouring it's prey's blood until it is dry. They leave the carcass for whatever. But the strong and healthy prey, they latch onto it's jugular or other main artery which instantly knocks out it's prey, and they drink enough to let the prey wake up later; only feeling weak for a while and having a headache,later being able to produce bountiful, strong offspring. Their claws are sharper and stronger than a razor made of diamonds, and are almost indestructible. For now, they roam Northern Canada. No other places are recorded, yet. The wolves that were made in the beginning, 30-32 yrs ago, have the power of changing their voice to manipulate and hypnotize other wolves. Their canines are around 4-5 inches long, and the rest of their teeth are sharp and enlongated, but it looks naturally and quite stunning, not unattractive. They have the speed that seems only a blur to the human - or animal - naked eye. They are able to top speeds of the speed of sound; sometimes faster. They live in a pack, but not like a normal wolf pack. There is to be only one leader, the Alpha and her mate, and the rest are subordiantes, taking orders from him and her. When they hunt, they do not always hunt together, and do not bring the pack it's catches; for blood must be devoured quickly. However, small pups do not nurse milk, they imediately need blood but cannot hunt immediately. Pups are special; they grow to reach the appearance of an adult, then stop, and do not age. Each mother can only give birth to one pup; for it is the one that ha sucked the blood and life out of it's siblings; and is the strongest. But most wolves do not mate, and they can only do so once a year. The other wolves stop physically aging at the time of transformation. This pack does not keep track of ages, but everyone has an age. However, age is just a number. It's experience that counts. They do not wish to be discovered either, and stay hidden. They can leap at outstanding heights, climbing to around 70ft and can soar above the ground for a short time.
To sum it all up, they are deadly, and not afraid to kill. They are dangerous, not afraid to invoke fear. They live in a pack, and there is strength in numbers. They are the alphas of the world, unafraid of virtually everything, they are in control, and undiscovered. Humans that see them in action are immediately killed. And anything else that stands in their way; is destroyed.

They are the Vampire Wolves.
And they're worse than your worst nightmare. They killed that and drained the life from it.

Ѳ Wolf pictures must be of a real wolf, no anime or cartoons. However, I notice google has realistic drawings. These are okay.
Ѳ Wolves don't have peircings, feathers, or markings other than the timber-wolf [grey wolf] markings.

Ѳ This is a literate RP; I expect correct puntuation and capitalization, and no text talk!
Ѳ Your posts do not have to be 'pretty' and you won't be penalized if they aren't, but I like them like that.
Ѳ Wolves cannot cry, vampire or not, and do not fall in love as soon as you see another wolf, they can't come into the pack with a crush, and your wolf will be injured eventually, by some force or another. Vampire wolves aren't indestructable.
Ѳ Your coat color must be black, grey, white, or light blonde [pale brown] and your eyes must be pale blue, but before you are turned your coat and eyes can be anything you please.

Territory

the fσrest

the forest is quite shady, and the ground is covered in moss and debris. The trees are thin and long, and the forest gets denser as you head towards the outskirts of it. Nearing the middle, where the dens and camp are, it is scattered with few trees. The elk stray away from the forest, for dangerous beings lurk there.

the cℓeαrιng

this is where the vampires rest during the day and reside whenever it fits their liking. Since they do not rest at night, they come here at sunhigh to escape the sun beams eminating from the firey ball itself. It is shady in the shadows, and at night is hard to find. The wolves do not sleep in dens; only scattered around camp.

here, the prey run all year long. The abundance of food for them keeps them coming back, despite the disappearences of their herds. You can find a variety of food in this part of Canada, including large elk, deer, and caribou herds and the occasional fox or weasel. In hard times of finding food, [which is few], the wolves have been known to hunt the weasels and even a Canadian Goose.

the streαм

here is the stream, where the vampire wolves can wash their fur or escape the heat and rays from the sun by submerging in the stream, where they can remain for 45 minutes without breath. However, keeping underwater is hard, for their bodies float like any other animal, evantualy sinking; but that's after death. During winter, it is frozen over, good for soothing the newborn's pads that havn't develeoped fully. Year-round, it is a good place to find prey. It cuts through the meadow.

located the farthest from where the vampire wolves reside, it takes even a vampire wolf at full-speed [which they can only maintain for about 10 minutes at a time, then rest for 30minutes before resuming] half a days travel, 6 hours, to arrive at. It is where newborns are created. It is far from where the newborn in the first few days can harm another vampire under 10yrs of experience, when it is strongest. The creator is expected to provide food for the newborn for those days, until it's extreme strength sunsides and it's able to hunt without killing. It has sometimes been used when wolves run away for a while, to be alone, or sometimes even loners occupy these dens. But they don't last very long, don't worry.

Seasons

Winter; Weakest Season[]

When it is coldest, and the vampire wolves are at their weakest. Being cold-blooded, they find it hard to find warmth, for the sun is irritating to them. However, the way they find warmth is by treating themselves to a human apx. once everyweek, which keeps their blood pumping warm for that period of time. However, the more vampires, the more disappearences. They choose to pick off hikers on Newborn Hill - sacrificing the long, cold journey every week.
Lasts 3 months RP time, apx. 1 month real time.

Spring; Rebuilding and Mating Season[]

This is when the snow melts in this part of Canada, and the grizzly bears are abundant. The wolves begin to strengthen again, and soon return to full speed and health. This is also mating season, however the alpha limits mating to only a select few wolves each year. They are usually satisfied for this whole season on the sluggish grizzly's, fresh out of hibernation.
Lasts 4 months RP time, apx. 1 month real time.

Summer; Strongest Season[X]

In this season wolves are strongest, and thrive without many complications. Flowers have blossomed, the deer and elk herds are abundant as well as bear cubs, an easy but sometimes dangerous treat for vampire wolves.
Lasts 3 months RP time, apx. 3 weeks real time.

Autumn; Preperation and Birthing Season[]

The wolves now must prepare for winter again, the harshest season. The landscape is littered with vibrant colors. Also, pups are born, unfortunately, near the beginning of winter. Most pups do not survive their first 3 months of life, if you perferr to call it that.
Lasts 2 months RP time, apx. 3 weeks real time.

Name; Shadow
Nickname; "My name is Shadow."
Age; 32 years experience
Gender; "Female, I am sure."
Written Description; Shadow is a sleek, lean, black-furred she-wolf with an icy blue gaze that could kill, in multiple senses. She has long legs and is well balanced, a rather stunning wolf but she does not always embrace that, for she feels who she is, what she is, makes her ugly.
History; Shadow was the first vampire wolf ever to be created. If you want an extended history, check the first post.
Personality; Shadow is a natural-born leader. She does not take orders from any wolf, and is feirce at all times. She can be vicious, and speaks with wisdom and in a peculiar dialogue. She does not hesitate to kill, and does not open up to just anybody. She can be extrememly seductive, for being he first vampire wolf her senses and abilities are strengthened and intensified. With one look, she can fry your brain, or mmanipulate you to do almost anything she desires. However, she does not do this often. She only confides in Paradox most of the time, but is not antisocial. If you disobey her, however, be prepared to die.
Other; She can read thoughts. Other than that, all her other abilities, strength, hearing, etc., are magnified.

Name; Paradox
Nickname; "I wished to be called by my name."
Age; 32 years of experience
Gender; "Male."
Written Description; Paradox is a large white brute with pale blue eyes with a greenish tint. He has a scar over his left eye, which failed to heal when he was turned.
History; Paradox was stumbled upon by Shadow nearly 11 months after she, herself, was created. He considers himself her best-friend, and vice versa, and while he was being turned he got the ghastly scar over his eye. For some reason it never healed, perhaps the same reason a tint of his green eyes remained in what should be icy blue.
Personality; Paradox is much like Shadow, speaking in an old dialogue filled with wisdom. He perferrs to talk rather than fight, but when cornered, as any other vampire wolf, he can turn in a split second to a ravenous killer. He has an unusual interest in herbs, but that's it; an interest. Nothing more will come of this. He is rather quiet, seldom speaking unless directly spoken to. He is usually found rumaging around in the forest for something to study, to gain new knowlegde.
Other; He can sense your emotions. Other than that, he is the second most powerful vampire wolf out there, referring to his enhanced abilities.

Name; Fang
Nickname; "If you can make one, give it a shot."
Age; 30 years of experience
Gender; "Male."
Written Description; Fang is a large black brute with deep blue eyes that failed to change from the color of the ocean when he changed. For some reason, the first few wolves made have that problem in the eyes. He is muscular and strong.
History; Fang was the 3rd vampire wolf made. He was stumbled upon in eastern Canada, and created.
Personality; Fang is more laid back than his old friends, Shadow and Paradox. He speaks modernly, without an accent of wisdom and a dialogue of older times. He is adventurous and very protective. He can also get very jealous at times. He is kind and outgoing, but like all of his kind, can switch instantly into hunting mode, or killing mode. Which, perhaps, are linked to the same.
Other; His abilities are less-hightened, but still stronger than most vampires'. He is very strong, more so than all others.

Nickname; "You can call me Panda. Some wolves do."
Age; 16 years experience
Gender; "Female, of course."
Written Description; Pandora is a smaller blonde she-wolf with silver-ish eyes. She is considerbly younger than the other vampire wolves, and lacks experience and the intensified version of vampire wolf powers.
History; Pandora was created 16 years ago in Alaska. This is where she was found, by Fang, and turned.
Personality; Panda is very animated. She is quiet sometimes, but very bubbly. She is kind and tends to act like a pup, inexperienced when it comes to wits. She is rarely in a bad mood, but when she hunts, she is completely different. She is dangerous and preferrs to do this act alone, for she is unpredictable at her young age. She can be vicious like all, and kill.
Other; Pandora's abilities are not any more different than the average vampire wolf. However, she has a power to sense your next move. Not exactly telling the future, but she can sense where your next steps will take you, and what you will do next.
