Emerald scowled and rolled her eyes. "I've fallen off a horse before and hit my head, and I turned out just fine. I don't need to be treated like a baby. Just a few bruises." she grumbled and laid on her back, her hands over her eyes. She was feeling rather dizzy but she wouldn't admit to it.

"A tall 'orse." He commented, holding out a lime half for her. Limes were known to help headaches, which he was certain that she would have one either now or soon as she fall had been from quite a hight and she had hit her head. Emerald would only need one half anyway; the other was for himself, as he had crashed into a fruit stall and he had his own headache to contend with.
Lifting his other hand, he pushed it under his bangs of hair and began rubbing the juice onto his forhead, feeling foolish. I'd much prefer ta do this in private.

Emerald took the lime and wrinkled her nose at it. "It's sour, I don't want it." she said. She opened one eye and saw him rubbing it on his forehead. "I have to rub it on my head?" she asked shocked. She sighed and squeezed the juice on her forehead, then threw it on the ground and rubbed the juice over her head. She could already feel the juice start to dry and get sticky. "I feel like a bumbling idiot." she mumbled.

Jack chuckled at her, continuing to rub his half of lime onto his forehead, shaking his head as some of the juice dripped into his eyes. 'Onestly, ye'd think she was a little girl. He mused silently, watching as she threw the lime on the floor.
"Lime juice is known ta 'elp 'eadaches, Emerald." He informed her, ignoring her comment on being a 'bumbling idiot'.

Emerald sneered and rubbed her hands on her pants trying to get the lime juice off of them. "That's great for you." she said sarcastically. She put her hands back over her eyes and sighed. "Listen, sorry for being rude." she said, not going into detail. The lack of sleep and sudden remembrance of past events left her in a bad mood, she didn't know why she was acting that way. Or why she had apologized. She never apologized, for anything. At least, not to people she had only met a few weeks ago.

"Aye, ye've bumped ye 'ead." Jack comfirmed, his voice tainted with an edge of sourness as Emerald had spent the last five minutes complaining and snapping. Lifting his arm in the air, the cook drew it back and thrust it forwards, letting go of his lime half at the last moment, watching as the green object soared through the air and out of sight in some alley.

Emerald nodded and slowly sat up again, resting her hands on her raised knees.

Jack sighed at her movements, rolling his eyes with his face turned away from her. His grey eyes landed on the group of people by the wall that he recognised at The Maiden's crew. The cook understood that they were probably waiting for him, Emerald and Betty, but he just wished that they would just get going and get to work so that they could all earn their meals. It wasn't fair to keep them waiting when they could be well on their way.

[For the sake of the roleplay, I'm just going to say that they've arrived at the farm.]

Sonja saw the ground where it had been plowed and seeded, and ahead of them was a medium-sized farmhouse. Yellow light glowed from the windows and smoke rose from a red-brick chimney. Whoever lived here was not well-to-do, but they weren't poor, either. Just the kind of place Sonja might have picked for herself if the sea hadn't called her back time and time again. "Alright, mates," she said, turning to the crew and speaking up a bit so that she could be sure that she was heard by everyone. "Be polite. Ye've got manners buried deep down somewhere in ye, so use 'em. Do what yer told, no complaints, and no mutinies. This ain't the sea and that ain't a ship." So that she wouldn't seem like she was bossing them around, she gestured for the young man- Gannet- to lead them up to the house. As he did so, the navigator fell back in with her crewmates and walked among them.

Emerald nodded. "As long as they don't beat me." she said jokingly, a smirk playing on her lips. She followed everybody else inside, every once and a while her bruised hip bothering her. But she ignored it. She wouldn't let a few bruises stop her. Especially if there was food and a good place to sleep as a reward. She finally looked up from the ground and took in the farm house for the first time. Her eyes went wide, and she stopped for half a second before shaking her head and tearing her gaze away from the house. 'It looks so much like-' she scowled at herself and didn't even finish the thought. Now was not the time for such things.
