First, I must give credit where credit is due. I used this as the reference picture for the lines. And the timer is off by at least an hour (I was watching a movie while doing it).

Rules:
-If you no longer want your squid, please return it so another user may adopt it
-Follow all the Do and Don't rules below
-Please don't spam the thread
-Follow Tess's rules
-Don't complain if you don't get the squid
-Please do not ask for customs if they are not open
-Don't post asking when the next squids will be up for adoption

Do NOT:
-Use off of CS unless you have my permission (if you'd like to use the image off of CS then please send me a pm)
-Remove my signature
-Claim the image or design as your own
-Sell, trade, or giveaway my artwork
-Copy or edit my lines
-Use anyone elses' squids
-Remove the link back to this thread

You may:
-Use as your character, fursona, or for roleplays
-Make fan art of your squid and/or other people making fan art for you
-Even though you may not use the image off of CS, you may use any fanart of the squid off of CS as long as you credit the design to me (and if you could link back I'd appreciate that)

If I see you breaking any of these rules (especially art theft) you will be reported immediately.

I may add more rules as I think of them.

Squids For Adoption

This is first come first serve. You may only adopt 1 squid per week.

These squids have been returned by their owners and are back up for adoption for another user to adopt.

The optional info will be put on the main post for the adopted squid and can be changed by asking me on a post on the adopted squid's page.

Customs Are Open

You may get one custom done a week (not including the adoption limit). Other than that, all rules apply to customs except that the design is yours and not mine. Please make sure to link the image back here (if you want to link it to your fursona page or something else, please let me know).

To see the transparency options in effect, please look at the adoptions post above. Also, please understand that I'll try my best to match the squid as close as possible to the reference, but if a design is too difficult for me to complete, I may tell you that I can't make it for you. If I can't make it for you because it was too difficult, I'll ask you if you'd like me to make a different custom for you.

Transparency

If you chose the option of transparency for the squid's background, you'll want to read this to see how to make it transparent.

Let's use this squid for example:

The image url for the squid is: http://www.chickensmoothie.com/oekaki/image/image.php?id=799592&size=large&format=auto&rev=1

To make the background transparent, change auto (highlighted in green text) to png.

The new image url should look like this: http://www.chickensmoothie.com/oekaki/image/image.php?id=799592&size=large&format=png&rev=1.

Now the squid should look like this:


How To Find The Image URL

Right click the image and click properties. Copy the URL pops up. The image should work when put in image tags and if you put the image url in your browser bar, it should take you straight to the image.


How To Post An Image

All you need to do is find the image URL and put it between the tags of [img]and[/img].


How To Link Text

This is our URL link: http://www.chickensmoothie.com/ (Normal it would automatically link a direct URL but I purposely turned that option off for some of the tutorials)

Let's say I want to have the text "Come join Chickensmoothie!" and I want it to link to the chicken smoothie homepage.

This is what it would look like:

As shown above, you need to put the URL of the website in the brackets so that it will link, and put the text between the url link and the closing tag of [/url].

It should work like this: Come join Chickensmoothie!


How To Link An Image

To link to an image, you do almost the exact same thing as linking text but you replace the text with the image.

This is the example code:

How To Resize An Image

To resize an image from Oekaki, you need to change the part that says 'large'.
