(Sorry for the quality of this. It's not really good, due to writer's block.)
Gray's drugged, tortured eyelids lifted.
She had no idea where she was.
Rocky outcroppings encircled her, armed with tall spires that speared the vast, white...nothingness. There was no sky in this forbidden land. Just white, stretching as far as Gray could see, obscuring whatever landmarks could take up the pockmarked stone. As far as she knew, the rock could extend forever and forever. There was no sun, and nothing above her, and the rock was pulsing and translucent. Gentle lights eddied below in soft flickering spasms. Almost absently, she reached out - half expecting the rock to maybe scald her, or be cold to the touch. But it felt like silk, rippling and amorphous under her palm. She felt like she could easily mold it into something, and that it would change, but it was hard and unyielding.

At this point, Gray was convinced that it was a dream. It was a dream. Or she was going crazy, but it had to be a dream.
She didn't remember falling asleep. She didn't remember anything, really, but vagueness and images imprinted in her mind. She remembered Earth, planet Earth, and she was pretty sure that this place was not Earth.

At all.

Are you currently working on any books?
Yes, I am. <3 I'm writing a novel that I'm dying to publish, but there's a lot of processes in the way. I'm hoping to build up to success eventually.
Why do you want to join? I've always loved writing. No matter what. This might sound cheesy, but it's literally never failed me, even when everything else has.
Do you have published books yet? No. But I wish.
Do you wish to find a "writing partner"? Maybe. I'm not entirely sure.

Sitting down on the hand-crafted chair, Taylor looked up and blinked her blue eyes. "I...." Her voice got lost in thought. Accept, or deny? Accept or deny...? Her brain already went through tremendous levels at school- it wasn't like her to be forced into making a huge decision. Taylor stood up only a minute after she sat down.
"I don't need this..." she mumbled, not so cleanly, yet carefully, and ran out of the old building. She could feel tears prying at her eyes, but Taylor refused to give in. A worried Mom with a worried expression came jogging out, placing her hands on Taylor's shoulders and kneeling down.
"H-Honey? are you alright?" She asked. Taylor blinked her big blue yes.
"They told me to wait.." She managed. "And I don't want to." She whimpered, burying her face into her mother's shoulder.
"Taylor, sweetie, you should have told me. I could have said something for you, or..." Even Taylor's mother knew that would not have been right. "Never mind. you were a brave girl for doing that. and I think it's time that we do something about this talent of yours." And with that, a beautiful smile crept onto Taylor's face.
"Thank you..." she breathed, taking her head off her Mom's shoulder. "I had the Best Day with you today." Taylor whispered, before standing up, wiping off her face, and getting ready to find another record company.


Are you currently working on any books? I'm starting something in a few days, still working on ideas.
Why do you want to join? Because writing has been such a big part of me. I narrate my life, no matter how it sounds. "Tundra accepted the trade with dignity, saying goodbye to a menacing pet and keeping a small PPS by her waist.
Do you have published books yet? Nope; but I really want to!

I haven't really started planning anything out for this yet, though i really want to enter! And this should help a lot XD that.. and zoning out in all of my important classes X3! Was the closing date the beginning or end of Feb? I forget >:(!

Anyone else noticed that we're getting tons of new members? :3 I think thats pretty sweet *squee*

So I have a question! When writing in first person, do you ever find it hard to differentiate between your first person characters? Uh, let me clarify - In one of my current stories, I have two main characters and they separate half way through the story, and i continue with both of their stories (sorta alternating "books" if you will) before meeting up again about a year later... Though I'm unsure if they actually sound like the same person by mistake... Anyone else have this problem/ ways of resolving it?
