Couldn't you limit their food intake? You could just feed them separately from the others, or find an alternative food, couldn't you? I seems somewhat unfair that your parents used this as an excuse to give your chickens away. =(
Even so, it's good that they made the effort to find an alternative to having them sent to a slaughterhouse and that they'll still have a good home. You should be very proud that you've raised them to healthy adults.
You mentioned that Pepsi and Dove are expecting Fleck's chicks, so would it be possible for you to arrange with the new owner and your parents for you to get some of their babies in the future?
Thanks to all the people that cared about them, though! And, Jimmy, we took your advice on feeding them seperately and they are beginning to lose a little weight...although we just found out the only truly 'fat' one was Pepsi, because Dove and Fleck are Jumbo Cornish chickens and they can't help it.
I'm glad you get to keep them, and I'm sure they are too. xD
