Ayla flew through the puff of gas and headed towards the orb of light she'd seen. She wasn't very well hidden in the sky, so she was easily seen.

Thunder spotted the female, he roared again.

I opened my eyes after so long and lift my head, shedding a layer of stone like a snake sheds a layer of skin. Looking around, I realize I have not aged; that and the rest of my clan are long gone from the cave. Getting up, I shed more stone, and spread my wings, which in all fairness should've deteriorated by now, the feathers shed and crumbled to dust and ashes. However, they look like I've just regenerated. Smooth and sleek, not a hair out of place. I looked beautiful, for a dragon who's been encased in stone for who-knows-how-long. Padding over to the edge of the cliff, I watched the tops of the trees sway in a gust of wind, enjoying the air rushing through my feathers again. Then, I let myself fall, down, down, down, all the way, and then my wings flashed open, snatching me from gravity's embrace, and I floated on the breeze, feeling as light as the feathers on my wings. It was a beautiful day.

Ayla saw Thunder and roared louder than she had bfore. She landed on a nearby ledge.
