Trade Rant Thread

I was going through my wish list the other day, and wanting to complete my collection I was wondering weather I should collect spiders or not, so I thought what the heck lets do it.
And so as I was going through I noticed a Spider that was 'rare'. A spider that I once owned but traded away because I was a n00b and didn't know any better. Every time I see that spider I feel like hitting myself. DX

You know what's somewhat funny... I got that spider (Camaro Spider, right? Racing stripes?) from Equimagine for the newborn candy cane PPS last month. >.>;; It's likely you'll get another eventually if you look for it.

I'm going to disagree with you there. If some newbie who doesn't yet grasp the concept of rarities offers me a zebra, I would most definitely say no. It isn't cool to take advantage of people, ever, and I'm not quite sure why you're flaunting that.

That’s you -- that’s not every other person on this game. I say about 85% of people in possession of a Zebra, came to own it off of ninja trading or trading with a newbie.

No difference, and none of it's okay. Just because lots of people aren't going to stop doing it doesn't make it "okay" on any level. If five billion people believe a lie, it's still a lie. The only reason you're getting called out is because you made it public. Most ninja traders AND scammers (edited in light of Kaya's post) keep their mouth shut about that sort of thing to keep from getting a bad rep.

Now, I don't know you all that well, so I'm not denying that you're good with trades--if you're a good bargainer, then that's great, we could all use that. But if your "skill" is ripping off new people and you're proud of that, then that's seriously not cool and you need to stop.

I'm sorry but I didn't come here to get lectured about how I need to be doing my trades. I'm not doing anything against the rules by asking people to add what they would like for a pet. This is a game -- this IS NOT real life.

Secondly -- I don't care what other people think about how I trade -- how I trade is how I trade and most people ask me how I do it and want to know what 'techniques' I have. I never stated my skill was ripping people off. I spent time and a lot of effort to complete my collection and yah, I ninja traded a bit in the process, OH WELL. When at the time I didn't have a job, wasn't going to college and I had a lot of free time -- I traded just about ALL day. Now a days you hardly see me on here.

I don't think I should be being crucified for COMING TO A RANT THREAD TO RANT ABOUT KIDS BEING RUDE AND BRATTY because they don't like the fact that I didn't want what they had to offer. I also don't think you should be telling anyone what to do -- you're not admin -- you're not a mod.

Yeah, a yellow one with black stripes. It was my first ever spider, a rare at that, and because I didn't like the specie, I traded it when someone offered be something different. LOL XD

So. I come home one day. I had just had a horrible experience, and my friend got super mad at me. I see I have a trade from a random person.

I look, and it is a page long. The person listed almost ALL my pets I had for trade. They also wanted all my items, except flags. Want to know what they offered for all that? a very common 2nd gen pet! I screamed out loud. My mom asked me if I was ok. I canceled, and that person is now on my foes list. PERMANENTLY!!!
Wanna know the best part? They said with it:
I am new. I just need these pets. Please trade? You're lucky I am giving you this pet.

I looked, they had been on since like, 6 months before I had, and they had 10 rare pets!

Fighting about this really isn't nessecary and will lead you into more trouble. I'm not going to get involved, however I would suggest that you both keep your opinions to yourself unless they are kind. Being constructive is good, as long as it isn't done rudely. And shunning each other with rude retorts isn't exactly helpful.
