Ren paused, "Lonliness." he said finally, "Vampires used to get close to humans alot and so they could stay together forever the vampires used to change thier partners into Vampires. This was OK untill it became so common to have B rank vampires around, the A ranks became the ones in charge.".

Chris nodded again in understanding."What about halfbloods?"she ventured, pushing a strand of hair from her face."A class and a B,"

"Unfortunatly, theres no way for an A rank vampire and a B rank vampire to have a child. Two B ranks can and Two A ranks can but the ranks cannot inter-breed, it corupts the Child's DNA and the child dies within the first few hours of life." Ren said.

Chris grimaced, her dark green eyes narrowing a little."That sucks."she said, still a little bitter that Ren was treated like a stray dog by the a ranked vampires."I still dont get why you cant share the same rank though,"she muttered.

Ren smiled, "When you first transform into a vampire you could kill up to two hundred humans ever week." he said.

Chris raised her eyebrows, blinking once or twice."Dang. That's nuts."was all she could really say.

Ren nodded, he could remember the first days of his vamprism like it was yesterday.

Chris sighed heavily and rubbed her temples with her fingers."But this has got us no where on what to do, still."she murmured, trying desperately to figure out how she could stay with Ren.

"I know,"Chris replied quietly."I was hoping it would spark an idea for me, but it didnt, so im disappointed. On the bright side I know a little more about vamps and some history."she said, smiling weakly.After a moment's pause she asked yet another question."so, you said they'd almost certainly find out, why is that? Do they have scouts watching you and your sister or something...?"
