Amadahy didn’t enjoy upsetting Trident, but she felt that he was often too protective, forgetting that she was capable of defending herself. That wasn’t all of it, she knew, but in the elven palace deep in the elven realm, Amadahy felt quite safe. Trident was simply overly worried.
It was him who told her of the strangers her brother was bringing to the palace, strangers accompanied by majestic animals of their own. To make the matter even more unusual, these strangers were humans. It was not often that humans were found in Eldrim, and rarely were they brought to see the king. Whatever the humans were here for, Amadahy knew that they must have important news, and thus she wanted to be there as well. Trident wanted to escort her, to protect her in case these humans attacked, but Amadahy refused. She insisted that she would be safe with her brother and father, and all the guards that were present in the castle. As reckless as humans can be, they should not be as stupid as to launch an attack here. Prince Rowen and King Aker would be there in case she needed protection, and besides, she had her own sword that wasn’t for decoration.
Amadahy hurried through the halls, but carried herself in a natural grace that all elves were known for, holding the skirt of her pine green dress so that the bottom would not get in her way. As she approached the throne room, and the balcony her father enjoyed, she slowed and appeared behind Maarif, listening as a human man unfolded his extravagant tale. She clasped her hands together in front of her, and silently watched at Maarif’s side, intense eyes observing the human company. An intersting tale, and wild indeed. Yet, Amadahy could not fully believe it all to be lies. It would be unwise to come all this way and threaten their lives to simply lie about such an extraordinarily, dangerous plot.

I've been dumped a boatload of work to do before college, so I will post when I can. Life is my nemesis.
'Tis the season! Here, a lovely song in commemoration of the holidays:
Oh Come, EmmanuelA wonderful interpretation by a couple of guys who just enjoy playing music.
