You have a CD of Minecraft? What the cheesecake?! I've only ever heard of the online copies where you buy it and you only get the account and you download it from minecraft.net

Yes. I HAD one. XD I got it from my grandpa. He copied it from the internet and burned it onto a CD so i could play it on my computer, but, of course it broke. XD

So in otherwords Minecraft is kind of like WOW in that you have to pay for access to the game online right? There's not a free version is there?

it's not, but here it is 10:50 PM, staying up until midnight for the new years XD

@ Anaiyu, im not sure, mine was just given to me by my grandpa at least three months ago, then just last month, it broke XD.

Oh it's all good, i might get a new one from my grandpa anyway. He is not happy about it breaking, but... he will get me one XD.

There is a free version, its just that you don't get to do as much things as the bought version. In the bought version you can go on servers and stuff. But there is a free version, just not as good as the bought version.

Its a pretty good game but if you don't like sandbox games I wouldn't suggest getting it unless you really want to go through like a few months or so to get to "The End"

It shouldn't be to hard to get another copy XD the problem is that you have to protect it from your dog. But you can just go to Minecraft.net and get the download for it.
