Tae heard Zoe's voice cut though the stillness of the house, and heard her muffled footsteps on the shaky floor boards. "I've been up for hours." He said, not bothering to look up. It was true; he wasn't even sure that he fell asleep at all.
Tae often went days without sleeping, yet he never felt that exhausted. When the others were deep in their slumber, he would go outside, and listen to the world. The cars speeding down the roads, the couple walking down the street in a fit of giggles, and the quiet whispers of things that no one was supposed to hear. He did this to practice for the scarcely near future, the one in which he could not see at all. At least, that is what he told himself.
He lifted his head up and looked around. He could tell that everyone was either still asleep, or just waking up. He looked at Zoe, who was beaming a smile that seemed out of place in the morose setting. "What time is it?" He asked as he twisted his neck that was sore from sitting there all night.

Zoë sighed and settled herself down beside Tae, "You should try and sleep," she said to him, her smile disappearing as quickly as it had come. She wished it was easier for them, not just her but everyone around her, they lived life so difficultly, so dangerously, so miserably. Even sleep was hard to come-by. The joy ebbed away from her, her sadness at their doomed predicament threatening to consume her, but it was not right. She smiled, quite in her usual character once again.
She yawned and sighed, stretching her slim arms out in front of her and yawning deeply. "I don't know, I haven't got my watch," she said, searching her body for the familiar shape of her trusty pocket-watch. Zoë did not find it, so she got up once again, "I'll try and find it," she said, and then shuffled back over to the wall where she found her open, pocket-watch, the hands unreliably spinning in a confused whirl. She groaned, "Always happens to me," she muttered to herself as she went back over to Tae. She hated her watch, always wrong, always showing different times, different odd information which she could never make any sense of.

Tori Deanna Mkay
Female/ Sixteen/ Hermes/ Talking to: Zoe and Tae
xXxXxXxXxXx
"I'm awake, I'm always awake."
Tori said, rubbing her eyes again. She stood up and walked over to where the two were sitting. She sat next to Zoe on the couch, leaning against the arm. Her hair was still mangled, and she desperately needed a brush. She ran her fingers through her hair, and looked at the two of them.
"If I were to guess, it's probably like 8:00 a.m."
She shrugged, her green eyes glancing around the room for something to be able to tell the time by.
"All I know is that it's cold outside."
She nodded after saying that, as if trying to confirm it herself. She rubbed her arms, which still had goosebumps on them from her morning run. She really did adore running, it made her feel free. Though the ringing in her ears was still slightly there. When she ran it was like bells were going off in her ears, and she really couldn't stand it. But it was the price she paid to do what she loved, and she would keep paying that price. She squinted in the darkness, looking around at the other people. She saw someone over at the piano, though most were just walking around aimlessly. She tapped her fingers against her thigh, thinking about playing the piano.

Katherine
Katherine walked into the warehouse, seeing through her good eye that most of the occupyants sleeping in their raggedy sleeping bags and uncomfortable cots. These times were the best for her escapades; usually, no one noticed her return. However, the sounds of murmuring voices reached her ears, and she turned her head dramatically, sweeping to see who it was. She couldn't tell through the dark.
"Who's up?" Katherine said in a loud whisper, still trying to find the voices whilst avoiding stepping on someone sleeping in the floor. She nearly stepped on Gabriel Volkov's head, and gave a sigh of relief -- the boisterious Hercules-type would've yelled for hours most likely.

eee-heee, a RP where I live, finally! I've been waiting for something like this. ;DName: faust marylin rosin.
Nickname: none.
Gender: female.
Age: fifteen.
Type: hercules.
Appearance: xoxoxoxo~

Faust is just the slightest bit below average height, but she doesn't think much of. She has long brown hair that she often keeps in a loose braid. She has soft, pale skin with a slight bit of freckles on her cheeks and nose. She has brown eyes, but if you look at a certain light, she does in fact have green as well. She has pink, full, rosy lips that are often curled up into a small smile.
Personality:
An introvert, Faust keeps her feelings to herself, and often feels weighed down by her secrets and thoughts. Though that may be true, she is a great listener and will be there for people, but she doesn't seem to use that gift much, since she has but a few friends, if you can call them that. She is always wary of strangers, and, having an alcoholic mother, is quite the care giver - mostly because she has to be. She doesn't like to takes risks, but, despite her efforts, she constantly gives into pressure. She hates being overestimated, as that puts pressure on her. But her worst dislike is being underestimated. Needles. Faust has a huge fear of them, and shudders at the mere thought of them, which is very bad, because in this life, there are druggies everywhere. Faust also has a fear of losing a loved one, though she doesn't have much of those anymore, nor has she had in a long time. She is quiet and keeps to herself, but that doesn't stop her from having strong beliefs that she will stick to with a fight. Faust enjoys cold weather and her favorite season is winter, and she loves snow. She has a liking for taking walks and pays close attention flowers, as she thinks they are fascinating. Faust loves chocolate, and though she has a sweet tooth, she is careful to not eat a lot. Faust hates being high above ground, whether that be in a form of climbing a tree or being on a tall building, she finds it terrifying. Faust has a keen eye, though her hearing is not the greatest, she often has to ask people to repeat themselves, much to their annoyance.
Weaknesses:
-being high above ground.
-pressure <--not physical, obviously, but mental.
-deeply dislikes hot weather; causes her to hyperventilate.
-terrible hearing, even since she was a young child.
Crush: none.

Ruberman
James
Rodriguez
Ruberman curled his fists into his chest, the numb fingers thawing out against the thin shirt he wore. He lay down on the ground, his back pressed into a wall. He wasn't tired, no. He kept his eyes closed, but not because he was at rest. He didn't like to open them. It only reminded him that he couldn't see. He wasn't going to open them. No. He never wanted to again.
He didn't really have a choice though. The voices surrounding him dragged his eyelids up out of habit and his head jerked towards the sounds. If it were not for the pale color of his eyes any regular person would think that he could see. That his eyes were as bright and bold as any other. That he could study every little perfection of the world. The beauty that surrounded him.
He wished that he had spent more time looking at the world he lived in. If only he knew of this he would've stared at the skies for hours, noticing how the blues crept into deep purples and pinks, oranges, and bright reds. The puffy clouds that stretched out across the canvas, puffy and white. They looked as if you could reach up and just like a pillow, you could pull it down and sleep on it for the night.
He could still feel things, touch them and imagine each image. Not as clear as before, but close enough. Close enough...He may have been rare to the group. May have even been important at times. He was able to navigate through lands that seemed rather impossible to the others. He could also see into the future sometimes. Things that were to happen in later times. It had happened ever since he was young. Things like getting a piece of cake after dinner. Small things that didn't seem to really matter at first. Not until the age of ten. Not until he got here. Where things started to pound into his head. Dangerous things. People dying. Not being able to get out of caves. Death. Blood. Fear.
He shivered at the terror of it all, going through every thing that happened within only minutes of time. "I'm up." He whispered, pulling himself into a standing position, using the wall to help guide him up. He coughed into his arm and stretched out a little bit, turning his head from side to side, trying to picture where the voice had come from. "I've been up for a while." He said, trying to start conversation without being to straightforward. His curiosity guided him to figure out who it was. Even though it should've been obvious. Picking out voices was usually a strong point of his.
I am not afraid to keep on living.
I am not afraid to walk this world alone.
Honey, if you stay, I'll be forgiving.
Nothing you can say will stop me going home.

"Wow, I'm not the only insomniac in here then I guess," Zoë said, smiling gently. She tried to be positive even though she knew half the Lost Ones couldn't see her smile, or here her gentle words. Still, negativity was not an option in this growing turmoil of misery. She shook her head slightly as if to rid it of the creeping thoughts that threatened to cloud her mind, then she looked around, once again her usual self. She checked her pocket watch, it had stopped spinning frantically now, so the time was actually correct, "It's 8:30 Tori, but very close," she said, and then yawned, stretching her arms out wide. Oh wonderful, she thought, The sleeplessness has passed and now it's time for the fatigue, joyous joys. Despite this, she mentioned nothing and continued to present her facade of happiness. Zoë began to pace the floor again, it was hard for her to sit still, which most certainly was not one of the better perks of being a Hermes. Zoë didn't much like to run, but her muscles and her body itched for it, due to the stupid ability she was 'blessed' with. And when she neglected to fulfill her aching body's desire to run and sprint, she got restless. She began to tap her foot on the ground, irritating herself and most likely others it was as if it were a reflex, she couldn't help it. Her body needed the freedom, the power, the running, the wind in her air, the feeling of invincibilty. But she didn't want it, sometimes you don't want what you need, and Zoë constantly neglected her needs when she didn't want them. Again she yawned and sighed and sat down. Fatigue and the need to run is not the best combo even in the good times, but when you feel like Zoë was feeling, it most certainly isn't good.

OOC: pocahontas; , you're accepted. (:

Katherine
The Psyche girl smiled at the sound of others stirring in the warehouse. Katherine couldn't say that she was surprised, really -- many of the Lost Ones seemed to never sleep. Maybe it was a side-effect of their powers, or just a result of seeing so much of the Mecha. Regardless, insomniacs were never alone.
Katherine slowly crept her way through the sleeping bodies, trying to find her own pallet in the darkness. She squinted, trying to see through her good eye, but to no avail. Eventually, Katherine felt the pallet beneath her foot, and she slowly put herself on it, trying not to disturb anyone else.
