Favourite H.P. book/movie, and why: Movie: The Goblet of Fire, because I loved all the events and I think that's when Voldemort was the creepiest CX. Book: The Order of the Pheonix...cuz I liked it!

And I was just curious... Has anyone else attempted (or succeeded) in watching all eight movies in a marathon?

I watched 3,4,5,6,and both 7's in a couple days...but that's about it...

Well... I was going over it. See, each movie is around 2 hours. I multiplied 2 by 8 because that is how many movies there are. It is a result of 16 hours. Then I subtracted it from 24 and got 8. So if you plan your whole day to be a nonstop Harry Potter marathon, you will have about 8 hours of sleep. Therefore, it is possible. Sorry to sound so nerdy and mathematic. I'm really not like that.

I was thinking the same thing, but the problem is that a good portion of those movies are longer than two hours, so that excess would add up. I have attempted to have a marathon thrice. Once ended up failing miserably when I couldn't find the first three, but I watched all the rest! The second time I couldn't find the sixth one and I nearly died, being that it was my favorite, and spent a good hour looking for it until my friend kindly informed me that she didn't own it. And the last time, we actually succeeded, if you include going to the cinema to watch the last one.

I believe they're all between a little over two hours to a little over two and a half hours.
Anybody else think it's odd that the longest book of the series, Order Of The Phoenix, ends up being the shortest movie? (Counting that Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 would be the counterpart to that particular book. Deathly Hallows Part 2 is actually a whole six minutes shorter than Order Of The Phoenix.)
