"but you're not 'just fine' you have something to get off your chest.... you can tell me, i can keep a secret..." Raina took a small pin from her hair and let it fall over her shoulders she jammed the pin carefuly in the lock "if you tell me things i need to know, ill get you out of here"

Antonio reached for the mic as soon as the lights went out and that scream came from Erica, but Jenny grabbed his arm, gentle but firm. He took a deep breath, shivering slightly just to watch. The instant she let go he grabbed the mic and turned it on. He took another deep breath, he had to be calm to calm down Erica. "Erica. It's me. You're fine, your safe. I'm here and as long as I am nothings going to hurt you. You're safe." he said quietly, struggling to keep his voice from cracking, it hurt to see her like this, afraid, screaming, going insane. He took another deep breath. "You don't have to be afraid of the dark. I know it's scared you before but think of all the good things with it too. You close your eyes when we sleep, when we kiss, and just like those times I'm right here. I'll always be there for you. Promise." he said, waiting quietly for her to say something, to calm down.

Jeremy shook his head. "Don't even bother. I'm not gonna tell you. So just go skip along or some crap like that." He said, his tone angry and just wanting to be alone. "I've learned to never tell anyone anything since it just winds up sending me to h*llholes like this." He said, not looking towards the girl. He wasn't in the mood to hold a conversation.

Erica

Her mind was beginning shut itself down as Antonio's voice came on. His voice penetrated the darkness in her a little bit, enough that she stopped screaming, but she continued to sob and shake. A total mental break down, her first one in a while. Then again a week was a while to her. What he was talking about was different, he was there with her, her light in the darkness. Right now she was alone, like she had been then. She slid off the chair to the ground, curling up in fetal position crying. She tried to stop, but the voices surrounded her, pushing her into herself. Deep into her mind when Antonio couldn't reach her. She moaned softly, mumbling something, repeating it.

Raina pulled the pin out of the lock with a *click* The rust hinges of the door squeaked as it slowly swung open "if you need anything....." she quietly said "i can give you anything you may need." she twirled her hair back up and popped the pin back in place to hold her hair up in a bun. it was frosted with blue ppaint that still clung to her arms and dried to her yellow dress. She stood in the doorway, her arm resting on the metal frame of the door and the other one hung carelessly at her side. Her blue eyes gazed sorrowfully at him.

Antonio saw Erica slip onto the floor, the camera's catching it in night vision. He shook his head putting down the microphone but not turning it off. "It's not working!" he shouted, this was a stupid, a very, very stupid idea. He shook his head running out the door and shoving the experiment room door open. Why didn't Jenny turn on the d*mn lights?! He thought to himself for a moment, but was to busy running over to Erica and cradling her in his arms. He held her close, sitting on the ground with her small form in his lap. "I'm here now. The dark can't hurt you. I won't let anyone hurt you." he whispered, gently rocking her back and forth, she kept whispering something, he didn't know what it was and at the moment he couldn't care.

Erica

Erica retreated deep within herself, and her body stopped it shaking and went limp. Her breathing was shallow and soft, similar to what had happened while she went into her coma. She moaned softly as she heard his voice very faintly, and 'reached' towards it. Images of him filling her mind rather than the voices, but they battled hard. Somehow she gained the strength to force them back into their prison. Her eyes fluttered softly open and Erica gasped softly, taking a deep breath. "Antonio." she murmured putting her arms around his neck and crying into his shoulder unable to help her fear of the dark. She was shaking again, but this time it was just her shoulders.

Antonio started to panic, he knew the signs of a comma as well as the next person. Relief flooded him when he heard Erica talk. He wrapped his arms tightly around her, rocking back and forth slightly as he held her. He could feel her tears soaking his shoulder and he couldn't keep a couple from rolling down his face. He didn't want something like that to ever happen again, maybe getting out of here wasn't worth it if they had to go through that. He put a hand to be back of Erica's head, stroking her hair and trying to comfort her. "I won't ever let them do anything like that to you again. I'm sorry." he whispered, he should have been able to help, he shouldn't have let that happen in the first place. He should have flicked the lights as soon as they went off.

Erica

She sobbed till her tears ran the course and her eyes were dry though she still quivered, hiccoughing quietly. She stayed as she was unable to work up the will to move from Antonio's lap. She pressed her forehead into the crook of his shoulder, feeling the wetness on her cheeks and his skin. She sat there, shaking unable to contain herself in the darkness and wished the lights would come back on. Erica couldn't stop the quiet whimper that came from her. She knew one thing though and that was that she no longer trusted Jenny at all. "D-d don't g- go." she stuttered unable to form her words properly. She sniffed and shuddered again.

Antonio held Erica close to him, shaking his head as words wouldn't come out. He wasn't let her out of his sight again, if this was anything like the tests they put you through during the passing exam, they would never get out of here. He rocked back and forth gently, cradling Erica. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm not going to leave you, not now, not ever." he whispered, still struggling to gulp down air. Jenny flicked the lights on and came down. She didn't get it, it should have worked, Antonio's voice should have calmed Erica. Now, now that it hadn't worked Jenny felt terrible, she had thought she could help the girl conquer her fear, but obviously a different approach was needed for that.
