This is an awesome drawing. I love that pretty sunset background. :'D I think the next step for you is to consider shading and blending. Try experimenting with the blur and smear tools to give a better impression of fur. Animals are furry, after all!

Well, I'm struggling with these things as well. xD Anyways, great work, keep it up!
