Emerald nodded, paying close attention. She noticed he seemed upset about something and she was about to ask when he started talking about getting Ace to stand. "Alright." she said. She gently grabbed hold of Ace's bridle and stood by his neck.

Brander scrambled to his feet looking shaken and he shivered and put him head on Emerald's shoulder. He lifted his leg slightly off the ground as it still hurt him but it was much less now.

Frank heaved up the stallions rump and stood panting against it "He should be fine now" he said, shoving the knife into his belt and patting the horse, whistling Diad over to grab some old carrot pieces and handing them to the wounded.

Emerald smiled and wrapped her arms around the stallion's neck as he rested his head on her shoulder. She tilted her head a little so she could see Frank. "Thanks again. I'm sure you'll hear plenty more times from Arrowin as well, but thanks." she said quietly. Her eyes went wide and she suddenly went stiff, as if she had just been hit with cold water. She clenched her teeth, balled up her fists, and squeezed her eyes shut. She relaxed after a moment and continued to stiffly stroke Ace's coat. "I hate memories." she snarled under her breath.

Envy nickered softly and trotted over to the group. He curiously sniffed Ace's shoulder before snorting and tossing his head. He hated the smell of blood, though over the years he had gotten used to it. He nudged Emerald in the arm as he walked over to Diad.

Frank smirked "Nothing I haven't done before, Diads had his fair share of similar wounds" he chuckled,patting the stallions neck and loosening the girth of Diads saddle. As Frank turned back he noticed Emeralds mood change "Something the matter?" he questioned with a frown.

Emerald glanced at Frank quickly and shook her head. "Just...just remembering a few things from a while back. Nothing major." she said with a shrug.

Frank frowned but didnt want to ask further so just nodded and sipped from his canteen before offering it to Emerald "Lets go find Arrowin" he said with a small smirk.

Emerald gladly accepted the canteen and took a sip out of it before handing it back to Frank. She smiled and nodded. "Alright. I'm she's behind those trees over there, she has Sam."

Frank nodded and strolled forwards, his eyes scanning the forest as Diad stood sound, resting up against a tree. He headed out towards Arrowin, his brows furrowing as he waited for Emerald.

Emerald let go of Ace, still stroking his shoulder. She looked over at Envy, who stood by her other shoulder, and told him to stay here and watch Ace. She gave them each a pat, waved to Diad, and followed after Frank.
