The door opened and a man in white clothes walked toward Lea, who was still strapped to the table.
"Alright, this might hurt just a little," the man said.
He picked up a needle and then put it into Lea's arm. Lea cringed at the pain, but it was soon over.
"What was that for?" Lea asked the man.
"For a blood sample," the man said, as he looked at the needle.
"Why did you need to take a sample of my blood?" Lea asked.
The man looked at Lea.
"You really aren't from here, are you?" he asked.
"I don't even know why I'm here, quite frankley," Lea said.
"Interesting," the man said. "Well, there are just a few things left to do, and then you'll be all ready."
"Ready for what?" Lea asked.
The man ignored her question.
"Alright, I just need you to open your eyes for about five seconds, and keep them open. No blinking," the man said.
Lea opened her eyes wide. There was a bright flash.
"Okay, blink," the man said.
Lea blinked, greatful that she hadn't blinked during the flash. Why am I doing what he tells me to do, anyway? Lea thought.
"So, what was that flash for?" she asked the man.
"Nothing," the man said.
"If it were nothing, why did you do it?" Lea asked.
The man stayed quiet.
"Well?" Lea said.
But the man remained quiet.
"Stand completely still," the man said.
"I wouldn't be able to move even if I wanted to," Lea said. "These straps are so tight!"
The man picked up a golden bracelet, and then strapped it onto Lea's shoulder. The bracelet was not heavy, however. It was actually surprising light.
"What's this for?" Lea asked.
"Keep your eyes open," the man said. "And stop asking questions."
Lea kept her eyes open, and suddenly she saw images flashing through her mind. Images of a tree. Of a wolf. Of men with torches. Of the moon. And then, a quickly glimpse (less then a milisecond long) of a woman. Then, the images stopped.
"Alright, you did good," the man said. "Now just rest."
"Wait, who was-" Lea started.
But she fell fast asleep before she could finish her question.

I don't know why I was doing everything Lea had to do!

Lea walked through a field of flowers, and she spun around and laughed in delight. She ran toward her mother and they hugged each other.
"I missed you, Mother," Lea said.
"I missed you too," her mother said.
They smiled and didn't let go of each other. Suddenly, smoke was everywhere, and they let go of each other.
"Mother!" Lea screamed as her mother disappeared in the dark smoke.
Lea coughed as the smoke got into her lungs, and she kept on coughing until she was bent over. The smoke didn't go away, and it kept on filling her lungs until she died.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lea sat up coughing. She realized that it had been a dream, and she looked around. She was no longer tied to the table. She was in a bed.
"Where am I?" Lea asked herself.
The door suddenly opened and men walked in.
"Sleep well?" one of them asked.
"Kind of," Lea said.
"Nightmare?" one of the others asked.
Lea nodded.
"So, where am I? What happened?" Lea asked.
"Nothing you need to be concerned about," one of the men said. "You just need to do one last thing, and then we're done and you can go."
"Sounds good to me," Lea said. "What do I have to do?"
"Look through this glass," one of the men said, holding up a piece of glass.
Lea looked through it, and suddenly it felt as if lightning where going through her.
"Get outside with the rest of the crowd," one of the men said.
Lea got out of bed and went outside to where the crowd was. She tried speaking, but she couldn't. She could hear and think, but couldn't make a sound leave her lips.
"Go to the hill," another man ordered.
The crowd walked past fields and farms, and up to a hill. The king was sitting on a throne.
"Men, find me three people," the king said.
The men found three people in the crowd; a woman, a man, and a boy.
"Come here," the king said to the people.
The people came to the king.
"Lay down on those tables," the king said.
The three people nodded and each layed down on a table. Suddenly, the tables burst into flame and burned the people. All that was left where bones. Lea would have screamed if she could, but no words could leave her lips. What was that about? she thought.
"Take their bones and use them for firewood," the king said to his men. "And find me three more."
The men nodded, took the bones away, and went into the crowd and found three more people; a woman, a man, and Lea.
"Come here," the king said.
The man, woman, and Lea walked to the king.
"Get onto the tables," the king said.
They started walking toward the tables. No, no, no! Lea thought. I can't listen to him! But she kept on walking forward. She couldn't stop. She layed down on the table, as did the man and woman. Lea looked at the king as she breathed heavily. The king looked her in the eyes, and his eyes stared at Lea's.
"Get off the tables!" the king shouted.
The people jumped off the tables, just as the flames went up. Lea's feet where singed, and she lay in the grass, wondering what had happened.
"Men, bring the girl to me," the king said.
The men hauled Lea to her feet and gave her to the king. The king looked Lea in the eyes.
"A keeper of light," he muttered. "Men, take her to my quarters."
The men nodded, and grabbed Lea. What will be in store for me now? Lea thought. If only she knew.
I'm glad you do! :D
The guards led Lea into the king's bedroom, and chained her hand to the wall. She waited and waited. Finally, the king walked in.
"So," he said to Lea, shutting the door. "You are a keeper of light, are you?"
She nodded slowly.
"I don't like keepers of light, you do realize," the king said.
"I assumed that," Lea said.
"You know what I do to Keepers Of Light?" the king asked.
Lea shrugged.
"I destroy them," the king said.
"I assumed that also," Lea said.
"And how did you assume that?" the king asked.
"I'm a good assumer," she said.
The king glared.
"You are, however, might be of some use to me," he said.
"And what use would that be?" Lea asked.
"I need you to be queen of the Ash," the king said.
"Never," she said.
"I'll make you," the king said.
"How?" she asked.
"That's classified," he said.
"And how come you pick me to be the queen?" Lea asked.
"I need someone exactly your age to be queen," the king said. "Men!"
Two men walked into the room.
"Prepare her for the ceremony," the king said.
The men nodded and grabbed Lea and dragged her out of the room yet again. Lea didn't know what the king would do to her, but she knew it wouldn't be good.
