"Alright." Corinne said happily, unaware of the Solan's almost horrid choice of tactics. She was sometimes oblivious to things when she was in a good mood, aparantly like now. Darn, that would have been perfect for Salon's friend!

Anyway, Corinne dropped Amma's reins. "Stay." she said simply, her mare obaying and lowering her head for chomps of the field's plentiful grass. Corinne tied the other pack horse to Amma and left them be for the current time. "Alright Solan." she said, holding the other horse tightly in her hands. "First thing you want to do, is place you hand out with your palm up. Let the horse sniff you, make sure it doesnt jump at your touch. Kind of like, earning it's trust." she explained.

"After you have done that, place your right foot into the stirup here." she instructed, pointing to the metal loop connected to the saddle. "Place your weight on that foot, swing your body up and over." That is the quick rundown on things.

Solan nodded dutifully, placing his hands up for the horse to sniff. After it gave a snort of approval, Solan gave his own nod, and did as told, swinging his body over surprisingly easily. Of course, once he sat, Solan felt a bit uncomfortable. This was definitely...a new experience. He felt a little bit displaced a top his new companion, so he shifted a bit. When it gave him slightly better results, he stopped- not wanting to push his luck. "Okay." He said, getting his game face on (which admittedly, didn't look any different than his regular face). "....Now what?" He asked, cocking his head to the side.

((Ah, my bad. Didn't mean to make your throat hurt...more. Comedy is just something I enjoy and try to put in almost everything. The Harry Potter Roleplay I do is living proof of this.))

{Ah, well its alright. It brightened up my whole day.}
Corinne clapped her hands together in sucess, almost jumping up and down. "Wonderful. You didnt get bucked off the first try! Believe me, you never want to get on again if you are bucked off on the first try." she joked, remembering her first time on a stallion. She shuttered, keeping her eyes locked on Solan. "Next thing you want to do is gently nudge the horse's sides with the heels of your boots. Make a soft clicking noise, like this." she said, demonstrating the noise with her tounge. "This will send the horse into a walk. If you want to go faster, click your heels and tounge again. Those are the basics for speeding up. If you want to slow down, gently pull back on the reins."

Those of course, were only the basics for beginners. If they were going fast, Corinne would have to stop the horse for him. He would learn in time. She dropped the reins, letting them hang as she stepped away from Solan and the horse. She walked over and mounted her own steed. Corinne led Amma to stand beside Solan and gently moved her horse into a walk. "This way." she said happily, walking ahead of him.

Solan nodded once and then twice. He watched as she began a steady pace forward and he soon followed after her, clicking his tongue and nudging the horse forward. His body jerked when the horse moved, but he stayed on, determined to at least not fall. So Solan's journey began with Corinne, and he followed on horseback as well as he could after her.

Corinne sent Amma into a trot, keeping a steady pace as she and her new companion traveled through the fields. She looked back once to the village, wondering if that boy and girl were like she was. With the dreams and all. Just another thing different about her. Corinne didnt want to think about it, so she kicked her horse and went galloping in circles around Solan and his horse. I know better, it is rude.. she thought, gonig back to meed with Solan. She kept up at a walk beside him now.

"So, Solan." she said, looking at him from the corner of her eye. "What brings you on your way to Stoney Grove? Something important or just a vacation travel?" Corinne asked. "I actually have some business there myself...." She paused, not wanting to reveal anymore than necessary about this unusual event. "You dont have any family back at the village? I dont think I have actually ever seen you out and about there? Where did you come from." Corinne realized after she asked that it wasnt right to ask alot about his past. "You know, only if you want to say anything."

Solan was a bit taken a back by the sudden onslaught of questions, but he nodded to them obediently. It was understandable, how she wanted to know- so it was only courteous that he answer. He gave only the slight indication of discomfort when she asked about his family. "I live in the village." He responded simply. "In the orphanage- don't let us out much with the others." He gave a snort when he thought about it, and continued on the steady pace.

"Told to go to Stoney Grove in a dream. Were you as well?" He asked curiously.

Corinne looked to the rising sun as she listened to his answers. She wanted to say she felt sorry, but most people didnt appriciate that talk. Nor did she say that was a horrible life, it was not her's to judge. "I grew up in the village. Not my whole life though. Apparantly I was dropped off when I was just a young girl. Raised by an old couple." she explained, wondering what had actually happened to her family. "My theory is that my parents were murdered because of their...family. Family ties I suspect."

She also thought about what he had said, with the dreams. She had always felt them as more of a vision. "Yes, I was as well. It has been happening for weeks now, I see this bright golden light. Like it is calling to me. Then, a voice. Its weird, I never thought I was that special to be getting a vision or dream. Whatever it is.."

"Everyone is special. Can't escape that." Solan muttered back absentmindedly. He nodded at what Corinne said and felt bad for her. Family ties could be troublesome huh? He bit back a thought that was invading his with narrowed eyes. "Dragon riders, exciting though, isn't it?" He asked Corinne, more to keep himself distracted from tho biting thought in the back of his head. Again, his facial expression didn't change- and he gave the girl a blank look.

At least you have family ties to be in trouble with...

"Every one is special." Corinne spat back, now a slight edge entering her voice. If only he knew, how special this is... No, she was not special. Not Corinne. She was cursed with her lineage, forever doomed to be on the run. Hiding for her life. But, perhaps hiding was what she did best. "I suppose it is exciting. Dragons, I have only ever heard stories as a child. By my adopted parents. They had always spoken in fear of them, due to the King's cruelness of his dragon. But, me? I do not believe they are all deathbringers. I think they are magestic and caring, and I do hope I get an elegant one." she almost squeeled.

Solan did not miss the bitterness, but remained unaffected. He didn't need to expand on that subject, so he left it alone. Then Corinne began to talk of the dragons in a favorable light. Solan of course, only nodded as she spoke. In truth, Solan didn't really know how to take the thought. Dragons.... they are an existence he fears yet they are also... He put a hand over his heart, thinking about the permanent tattoo of the majestic creature engraved over it. They were also something to admire for him. "Yes. I see." Was all he was able to respond with.
