Sam broke into a trot, feeling bad that he had alarmed the girl. “Calm down, little one.” His voice was deep, rumbling. “That is where we live.” Hopefully Sevilen would find companionship with the other girls as well. “It is a beautiful place. You will be well taken care of.” And with me, but he didn’t add that part. He knew she still wasn’t entirely comftorable with him but that time would come. He would get Nat, Addi, and some of the others to make sure she had anything she wanted. For all he knew, Eli had found someone as well. Perhaps they would be friends.
Sam felt bad, knowing his fur was slippery. He tried to keep his gait smooth, though. Hopefully he could avoid the spot where he had swum before, knowing that cold water would potentially kill the girl. Hesitating, he spoke once again. “If you change your mind about returning with me.. to the castle. We may turn back.” However, once she saw the castle it would be nearly impossible for Sam to return her. He hoped she wouldn’t want it.
(For Nat.)
Narrowing her eyes, Addi peeked around the corner of the doorway to glare and Nat. The bothersome servant girl had taken Addi’s usual spot. In complete cat form, fluffy dark brown; almost completely black from head to toe, Addi stalked out into plain view. “Mmrrt?” She asked, glancing at Nat. It seemed the girl was dozing, though. Grumbling in a very cat-like way under her breath, Addi jumped up on the couch next to the girl and curled up, trying to ignore the servant girl. Whether Nat knew or not who she was, Addi didn’t entirely know. She doubted it, though. Unless one of the bears has told her. Addi was spectacular at remaining hidden when she wanted to.
