"I know so," she told him firmly.

Falon
He nodded his thanks and took one of the deer's hind legs in his mouth. He turned and began dragging the limp carcass back towards the camp.

Sari
She loped comfortably along as Jard sped up. They were nearing the border, and would need to be on high alert from now on. She turned her head to face him. "Be on guard, we're almost there," she said.

Silex

Nodding to himself, Silex made his mind up. "I just feel bad for Aqua," he said, "because I would like to ask you if you'll be my mate?" he asked her, smiling.

Kasi

Kasi held the deer firmly in her mouth. She trotted happily along the beaten path which they had come on, listening to the gentle hum of the wind, and the rippling of the river down at the bottom of the valley.

Jard

Jard looked around as the river got closer and closer. He nodded slowly and said "I'll keep my eyes open."

Vivian

She looked at him in shock. She was dumbstruck. It took her a moment to settle in, and her eyes filled with tears.

"Yes," she nodded. "Yes, yes I would!" She was so happy she could burst. He had picked her..... She almost oculdn't believe it.

She sat down. Her aching ribs forgotten, she was ready to collapse from happiness. Her eyes sparkled.

Silex

Silex grinned. He was over the moon that she had agreed, and he ran towards her and sat beside her. He licked her tenderly and cried "Thank you, thank you so much!"

He brought his tail around by his side, beaming with joy.

Falon
Falon smiled as they reached the camp. Releasing his hold on the deer after placing it on the prey pile, he said, "Ahh, what and adventure. I only wish the stupid thing hadnt had the guts to kick me." He opened and closed his mouth a few times as if making sure it still worked properly and laughed. "You were a bit more lucky than me, if I'm not mistaken, right?" He glanced over her and, upon conformation that nothing was wrong, returned eye contact and smiled.

Sari
Sari slowed slightly as they approached the river. This one was bigger than the stream they had been fishing by, and with size also came depth and speed. As a barrier between packs, it had to be relatively difficult to cross. There were some rare places where it was easier to cross, but not many, and certainly none close to where they were. She stopped at the edge of the water and looked at Jard. "After you," she grinned.

Vivian

She smiled and licked him back. It was still sinking in, but she felt utterly happy. She leaned against him lightly, enjoying the feel of his fur....

"There's no need to thank me, Silex. I......I love you. I would have even if you picked someone else." She looked into his eyes, and smiled.

Silex

Silex licked Vivian's head as she leant on him. "I've always loved you as well. I have been trying to get to know the other females but they just aren't the same as you. That's when I knew that you were the one for me." he admitted happily.

Kasi

Kasi nodded. "I'm fine, but I didn't know that it had kicked you." she said, sitting down, "Are you alright?"

Jard

Jard looked down into the river as he got closer to it. He sighed and returned a grin to Sari. "I thought that would be coming." he said, shaking his head. "Alright then..."
He backed away a bit, before running and leaping into the water. He landed with a splash a little way from the side where Sari stood, and he began to thrash his legs hurriedly, getting to the surface and starting on the way over to the other side.

Vivian

She smiled. "Thanks," she looked away a bit shyly, before she realized she had nothing to hide now. She had a best friend for life, as well as a mate. She could finally let go of the ghosts of the past, of Fell. She could let Larka rest. At last.


"When will you tell everyone?" she asked. She felt utterly happy, but she felt bad for Aqua and Arena. They were both so nice....But nice wolves got what they deserved. They would find someone soon.

Falon
He laughed again. "How could you miss it? You didn't notice any... change... in my behavior?" he asked slyly. "You know, the kind of 'I'm gonna kill you if it's the last thing I do' look?"

Sari
Her grin held as he took a running leap into the water. When his head was safely above the water she yelled, "Look put below!" and hurled herself in after him. She struck out with her powerful legs against the current dragging her down. When she finally surfaced, she sputtered and coughed, sucking in air huge amounts of air to compensate for her time without. When her head stopped feeling fuzzy, she looked around and headed for the opposite shore.
